35:50 hes right. Genetics and blood comes from BOTH parents. A true Syed would be a pure Syed on father AND mother side. Even if in this scenario is a pure Syed came from Middle East and married a Punjabi Hindu woman, yes by patrilineal system and surname the child would be identified as a Syed but truly, from a genetic perspective, that child is mixed Punjabi Hindu and Syed from whatever country. Now if the child stays in Punjab and continues to procreate generation by generations with other Punjabi Hindu converts then today their genetic report will show 100% Punjabi. No Syed from Iran, Saudi, etc. That part is long lost with mixing every generation. In our Hindu culture we believe it takes 7 generations to filter out foreign input. Mathematically that adds up based on what we know of genetics today. So basically by now, all Punjabi Muslims, whether Nani was taken advantage of my Turkic Mughals or not, her descendants are all back to being full blood Punjabi by now. However, the way marriages works with Punjabi Muslim is not like us Punjabi Hindus. We make sure we aren't mixed even inadvertently with distant family. So Punjabi Muslims are probably still mixed with a low percentage (0.1-0.5%) something non-Punjabi, whether thats Sindhi, Baloch, etc. Based on history, Syed didn’t come marry anyone. They came and had ayaashi and left and Nani was left telling everyone her child is Syed for acceptance on society.

DNA/Genetics ki research ab saabit kar chuki hai ki Arain, Shaikh (Arora/Khatri), Kohistani, Kamboh, yahaa tak ki KPK aur KPK se lage huwe Northeast Afghanistan ke ilaaqo ke Pashtun (Tarkalani, Uthmankhel, Yusufzai etc) sabhi ka DNA/genetics kaafi hadd tak similar hai. Sabka ta'aluq Gandhara region aur Swat valley se hai. Yeh sabhi groups Gandhara region ki pre-ironic population ko represent karte hai. Baaki Afghanistan ke "original" Pashtuno ka DNA/genetics KPK aur KPK se lage huwe Northeast Afghanistan ke ilaaqo ke Pashtuno se alag hai. Jab "original" Pashtuns formerly Dardic (Kohistani, Tirahi) areas mey pahunch gaye, toh unhone wahaa ki non Iranic populations ko assimilate kar liya, jinme se kai ko aaj bhi "hamsaaya" keh kar bulaaya jaata hai.
