I had been feeling very nervous about this day because I was worried about making a mistake when booking our tickets to Kyoto via the Shinkansen. It felt like such an important part of the trip, and I didn’t want anything to go wrong.
Everything about this trip was new to me, and that made it both exciting and overwhelming. I spent hours reading guides and tips to prepare, reminding myself that every adventure begins with a little uncertainty. Sometimes, stepping into the unknown is the best way to grow and discover something amazing.
At the same time, I was filled with excitement. This was Japan-a place I had dreamed of visiting! The idea of exploring such a beautiful and historic city like Kyoto made me realize how lucky I was to be on this journey. It reminded me to embrace the moment, no matter how nervous I felt.
Of course, I wasn’t a big fan of crowds, so I felt uneasy about that part of the trip. My worries grew when a kind Japanese woman at the station told us how busy Kyoto usually is. She was right-when we arrived, it was packed with people everywhere.
But here’s the thing: even in the busiest places, you can still find moments of peace if you look for them. Despite the crowds, we discovered some quiet spots where we could relax and soak in Kyoto’s beauty. It reminded me that every place has its own charm, and sometimes, the best memories come from unexpected moments of calm in the chaos.
While Tokyo is still my favorite city, Kyoto has taken a special place in my heart. It’s a city that shows you the balance between energy and serenity, reminding us that even in the busiest times, there is beauty to be found. This trip taught me that sometimes, you just need to take a deep breath, trust yourself, and embrace whatever comes your way.
