They are mostly Burmese Tamils, who were forced to leave burma after military coup in the country. Some people came to Tamil Nadu some stayed there, some people crossed border and settled there in hope of returning to burma after, which never happened. Some Tamil who came to Tamil Nadu again try to go back to their country as some Tamils in Tamil Nadu did not treat them well. There is Tamil Sangam and Tamil temples in Moreh, Manipur indo - burma border.
