I'm surprised that Pleasant Hill - Shakertown didn't make the "Top Ten" list. My parents and I heard about Shakertown from one of her work colleagues in social work way back in 1969. We visited the community that was revived in '68 and at that time, the area was quite rural and the employees were extremely nice and recreating the way that historical religious community was lived in the 1800's. I was 19 in 1969 and throughly enjoyed the long weekend's late August visit. Several times I've visited there since then...even took my wife-to-be there to propose to her on my 25th birthday in 1975. (Still married to her, too) The last time I visited Shakertown was in June of 2008. Still looks very much the same yet has gotten more commercial like and less historic, but, still is a neat place (at least I hope it is).

your first part of Cumberland Gap is actually Cumberland Falls--about an hour north west of Cumberland Gap, not to mention Cumberland Gap is actually in Tennessee. The CG NHP office is in Kentucky.

As a Kentuckian I was stunned to hear that you even pronounced Kentucky correctly. You should really do your homework before making these videos. Again it is pronounced Lou-a-ville not Louey-ville and Cumberland Falls is not part of Cumberland Gap.I guess that anyone planning to travel to any other part of the country should not use these videos to help them plan their trips.
