Once upon a time, Vegas was so dang inexpensive! We always got free rooms, free dinners, free buffets free show tickets,...and spent all of our money gambling! Now, by the time you pay for hotels, meals, shows...there is no money for gambling! We used to come several times a year but now, we haven't been in several years! Lots of places with great entertainment and food so if I can't afford gambling afterwards, lots of other places to try.

MGM Grand had a theme park in the 1990's, but it failed to make a profit so it was closed.

We will be there on the 9th to the 14th. We’re coming from Canada for the second time this year. SO very sad to hear about our favourite place closing. We love Ocean One. Neither of us is a big eater so to be able to save money on food is a good thing. Most places give such large portions and charge quite a bit, so it was a treat to find Ocean One. Their drink prices were great too. Any suggestions on anything remotely close in price on the strip? We’re not big breakfast people, so we’re looking for good value for lunch and supper.

Love to come back to Las Vegas again but it is way too expensive now, I think they will eventually price themselves out as a must do. Same a Disney extremely expensive to stand around waiting for attractions. 🇦🇺🇦🇺

Just saw that interview you did on another podcast, and I totally agree with you and the host that Vegas prices are getting absolutely bonkers. I get that a while back it was one of the only places to legally gamble and see quality stage productions on the West Coast. However, with the advent of the mega Indian casinos up and down the coast, and now opening across the nation, there is so much competition that I honestly believe there will come a reckoning and Vegas will either bend the knee and lower lots of prices across the spectrum (i.e., rooms, no resort fees, food prices, etc) or it will crash and burn.

Vegas won't crash and burn lol. Yes many many tribal casinos out there but they don't have NFL NHL F1, conferences and nightly headliners. Plus high bet tables are always full and people play $5-10 slot spins like its 2015 $2 bets. Lots of food deals off strip too

Going on the 30th through December 5th. Staying at the Luxor. Heard mixed things about this hotel but we did have a great deal flying from Montreal! Your videos have been super helpful and fun!

Request your room be in the Luxor Hotel tower instead of the pyramid where the hotel rooms have low ceilings and cause some guests to get claustrophobia. No restaurants inside Luxor or the next door Mandalay Bay or Excalibur are affordable! The buffet inside Luxor is a pass, almost $40 for brunch 8am-2pm daily, no separate breakfast or dinner, lots of ok store bought food, but not good. If you want to have 1 buffet on your vacation nearby Luxor, just take the free tram from Luxor to Excalibur- their buffet is better, same price almost $40, same business hours. You can find many relatively affordable restaurants across the pedestrian bridge from Excalibur inside New York New York Hotel at the Village Street Eateries.

@ September is very hot! I’ve been going to Vegas since the ‘80’s, so I know the best months to go are April/May (but not around Easter), October/ November. If you love to shop be sure to visit the Fashion Show mall across from the Wynn and the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace. Have fun!

I love Vegas. I would go 2-3 times a year, but haven't been in a while. Just can't afford it. Seeing this video just confirms that. I have also seen that Las Vegas strip revenue is down7.2% for the 3 consecutive quarters...not a good sign. The downtown area is actually making gains over the Strip, but just not a fan of downtown. With BS resort fees, over priced celebrity restaurants & high table minimums, it seems like Vegas is kicking the low rollers like me to the curb. Just like out here in L.A., no matter where you go everything has skyrocketed as far as cost. I think Vegas overall is making a mistake by ignoring the little guy. We spend money too. 😢😢😢

I ate at the Havana 57 in Miami and the food and the people was excellent. It's a pity about Ocean One. We ate there almost every day for breakfast on our October two week stay. Good food, well priced great service. I would love to see an NBA team in Vegas. It would be so much better than a Baseball team, far more exciting. Steve. C.

I think you mean 9 "holes" of golf. A "round" usually refers to the entire course, comprised of 9+ holes. To play 9 rounds on this course would take hours and would get boring after two rounds.
