Day 25 - Clinton to Sedalia and my 1st day's ride on the KATY Trail

With Chris and I left our Warmshower's host, Ben and Jessica, (www.warmshowers.org), and made our way to the start of KATY trail. This trail is a bucket list ride for me and I was excited to be here. At the start of the trail, we met up with Andy O'Neil. Andy has been a big part of my tour since before I started riding. He designed the contact form, Myrtle's Progress page, a tab with my KZbin video locations on a map as well as a donation page. (travels-by-tri.... This was the 1st time we met.
3 trikers started down the KATY trail in very cold conditions. Temps were in the low 30s. The night before there had been a powerful storm with tornado warnings and the trail was littered with tree debris. We all rode together for 20 miles to Windsor. We had breakfast and then Andy turned back to Clinton and the start of the trail. Chris and I continued on to Sedalia where his wife was waiting with the car to take him back to Springfield. Chris put in a huge effort to design the route and I'm grateful for his help getting me on the KATY trail safely.
