This was my first hitchhiking trip in Iraq, from Basra to Al Nasiriyah. It was a completely different experience than I had expected because I was unsure whether it was safe to hitchhike in Iraq.

Hitch-hike it's uncommon in Iraq. Drivers out there with exception to Taxi drivers don't pick up random people from the street. Don't try it.
