There are supposedly monitor lizards on the island, but we didn't see a single one during our stay. Around the resort, you're far more likely to see deer and monkeys.

@@reconforsales7708 We didn't see newts or lizards of any type during our stay. We came primarily for the snorkeling and diving, to see the marine life, and didn't have time to go on any hikes, where it may have been possible to spot additional wildlife, beyond the deer and monkeys we saw around the resort.
