That's so awesome that you saw the northern lights! We saw them September of that year but only very faintly. I had absolutely prime viewing from my aft balcony, EXCEPT: my neighbors insisted on having their balcony light on. We had the steward turn it off the day before, hoping maybe they just didn't know. Nope. PSA: If you're on an Alaskan cruise, TURN YER DANGED BALCONY LIGHT OFF!

Hey! So we had to wait till about 1am and I think we were around Juno. You don’t see the colors, they look more like smoke or clouds in the sky, but when you hold your camera up to it, the colors change to green

Hey Kelley!! Actually not sure about the Northern lights. Maybe it’s we just got lucky! I think it depends on the weather. If it had been super stormy that day we probably wouldn’t have seen them.

So we were there the first week of October, and w loved it! Normally the season goes from May-September. If you’re looking for warmer weather, definitely go earlier in the season. Most people go in July-August.
