Sounds counter intuitive. But the best way to ventilate a house, room or motorhome (advised by an expert) is to put your hats and coats on and open all the windows on a cold morning for half an hour to ventilate. In our heads you would think cold air would have lots of moisture but apparently it’s the opposite. All the moisture has hit the ground, trees etc. You are actually introducing fresh and dry air. 😮

@@TravelTrollsTV I dont think that would work for you guys as the temp in your motorhome would plummet , you`d put your heating back on= temp difference inside/outside= condensation. Opening windows is old school when you have dehumidifiers and air purifiers now.

The thing with the condensation is pretty simple: warm air contains more water than cold air. So if you have it warm and cosy in your van while you're doing your things the air gets pretty much saturated. If you lower the temperatur and go to bed the water will condensate on cold surfaces like windows or metal parts. The only way to prevent that is let the saturated warm air out before - 5 minutes with open door(s) and windows will be enough. Don't worry - it will get warm again very fast ;-)

That bulb job looked a pain on a cold Winter`s day. I reckon keeping spare bulbs in the glovebox and the tools to get to them would be a good move especially if your in a remote place. I also use a dehumidifier but also use an air purifier. They`re both ace and using the purifier after the dehumidifier reduces the moisture literally cleans the air. It pulls the air through 2 H.E.P.A. filters and a carbon filter . It literally cleans the air inside your home without opening the windows and losing all the expensive heat. The purifier is also good in Summer as it will trap Pollen particles if you suffer from Hay fever. 🙂

A brake light bulb is different than the other bulbs. It needs two filaments whereas the other one just need one filament

Dan, brake lights and taillights are a different wattage it’s write on the bulb also some bulbs are two elements in one bulb, the bulb, can also be put in the bulb holder the wrong way round.

Don't want to be pedantic, but Edward the confessor's death led to the Battle of Hastings 14/10/1066. The plane crash at Gatwick in 1969 (Turkish airlines) crashed into a house in fog about a mile short of the runway. A baby girl was the only survivor from the house. I did read last year, she still hasn't been compensated apparently.

Hi Dan and Mazzy. The brake light bulb is probably different from the reversing light. Bulb elements don't always break it would more likely melt. Mazzy did suggest that you remove the metal plate that holds the bulbs right from the start. I was shouting at the screen, saying, "Listen to Mazzy." Evening guys, just watching your trouble with the rear lights, I've had a similar issue in the past. Why do manufacturers make it so bloomin awkward to change a bulb. Probably so youll end up taking it to a stealership & get charged £100 +vat for a bulb or two. Anyway, I think your problem is either a bad earth or bad connection, you wanna take the unit apart like earlier & get a cotton bud with some acetone or wd40 or some kind of contact cleaner onto the plug that connects the lightbox to the camper on both sides & make sure there ain't no obvious corrosion or gunk, clean all the connections + plugs & it should be problem solved. Use your multimeter on continuity to check your wiring. Continuity if you put your red and black together you hear a ring. It shows a circuit isn’t broken if it sounds is you hold your probes on each end of a single wire
