How to quickly make a Slideshow video on iPhone (No 3rd party Apps required)

STEP 1. iPhone Slideshow in Apple Photos App
First you will need to get some images on your phone that you want to make into a short video.
There is a super easy way to view your photos as a slideshow with music on an iPhone just using the photos app.
Simply open your photos app. Select all the images you want to include in your slideshow. Tap at the bottom left to see the menu and scroll down to the slideshow option.
VIDEO 1
Automatically your iphone will create a slideshow with music. You can see multiple images randomly grouped together, with unique transitions between the slides.
Under options you can change the theme, the music, whether it should repeat and the overall speed.
This is a really fast way to create a cool slideshow.
You can airplay this to your TV and show friends if you want, but that is sadly where it ends. This slideshow function does not allow you to export this as a video (save it), so that you can share it with friends and family..
Don't worry, there is an easy workaround. All you need to do is a screen recording.
STEP 2. Save your slideshow video without an additional app
When you slide up on your screen it opens your control centre. Here you should have a record screen button that looks like this. If you do not see it, then you need to customise your control centre.

Go to iPhone settings.
Search for a Control Centre.
Select customise controls
Look for the screen recording option.
You need to tap the little green plus button to add it.
Now when you slide to open your control centre you will see the button.When you tap on this have 3 seconds to set up your screen and record your slideshow.
This will automatically save to your recent folder in the photos app.

I have been running a small animal sanctuary for the past three years supported by myself. This was very understandable. Grandchildren were proud of me as we watched a summer family iMovie I created. QUESTION #1: how can I switch music to a different song midway or can I? QUESTION #2: I put in sound effects but the sound effects played over top the music. The sound effects not as effective then. Can I stop song when I want sound effects. Hi Jay, I actually just had to add this as a module to our course. But to give you the short overview: You need to download music from youtube using a converter website, then transfer the track to your phone. Unfortunately this is the only way to get around the costs of music libraries that connect directly to the phone.

You really missed the boat. You can make a memories movie…edit and customize music right from the photos library. Don’t need to record screen. Put selected photos in an ALBUM. Arrange album in order you want them, up to 50 photos. (I’ve even included short videos among the stills). Then Select the 3 dots … at top right for more options. One option is .. play a movie, select that and it quickly creates a movie, slideshow. You can select music, etc. once you save the movie to customize it even more you must use I movie. I’ve done this many times for events I’ve attended and shared them. Posted on FB. KZbin, etc.

THERE WAS A MUCH MUCH SIMPLER WAY THAN THAT USING MARKUP BEFORE THEY UPDATED THE iOS to 15.3😩😩😩😩!!!! In photos on the iphone when we would click on any video and click edit there was an option button in the top right corner (a circle with three dots in it) when you click on it there would be an option where you can select audio from your own music library AND you can easily select where you would want to song to start SPECIFICALLY using the BARS of the song!!!! IT WAS WAY MUCH BETTER AND EASIER I DONT KNOW WHY THEY REMOVED THAT FEATURE!!!

On the ios slideshow, i play it and record it, and i knew all this before the video, but i came to the video because when the slideshlw is halfway done it stops changing frames, i only have 14 videos and 32 photos, is that too much???

Hi there, no that should not be too much.... its should loop to infinity. Are you running the slideshow from a separated album. Place all 14 videos and 32 photos in a seperate album first. Try that, if it doesnt work then it might be overloaded by the 14 videos. The slideshow feature is designed for images, best to then move onto iMovie to make it.
