Daman is one of the parts of union territory - Daman & Diu. Daman is less popular for tourist places but recently I visited this amazing place and realized that it is developing every day.
Daman is the capital city of the Indian union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. It is a municipal council situated in the Daman district of the union territory.
Daman Ganga River divides Daman into two parts - Nani-Daman (nani meaning "small") and Moti-Daman (Moti meaning "big"). Despite its name, Nani-Daman is the larger of the two parts, while the old city is mainly in Moti-Daman. This holds most of the important entities like the major hospitals, supermarkets, and major residential areas. Vapi, Gujarat is the nearest city to Daman.

@@TravelwithTejasviHi, I just travelled Daman and I really enjoyed a lot! I tried to visit Query Lake but unable to visit due to road which was not clear :(, Somnath Mandir was closed in afternoon BUT visited BOM Jesus Church, Devka Beach, Jampore Beach. Was in Mirasol Resort and that experience was too wonderful. I visited nearly every spot which was mentioned by you. In night road was very risky travelling from Daman to Nasik as there were no lights, no vehicles! I enjoyed alot. Thanks!

Thank you 😊 Most beaches are not safe for swimming that's why there are watersports activities almost everywhere.

Basically 2 beaches : Moti daman beach ( which is also jampore beach ) & Nani daman beach ( that church side ). Water is extremely dirty, would not recommend anyone for swimming as water is brown in colour due to pollution by Damanganga river from Vapi. During weekends ( Sat - Sun ) or any holiday, these beaches are extremely crowded ( literally there's no place to walk peacefully ). Beaches in South ( such as Vizag ) or even goa has Clear water 🌊 than here. Other thing about night life : its not at all safe , there have been many incidents about harrasment & thefts on tourists during daytime; then one can figure what happens at night ( u can google it ). Daman is famous Only for cheap liquor 🥃. There's nothing that great to roam around here.
