Multiplexing port you mentioned is 30000 and 30001 but it’s 36000 and 36001.

Hello, i am studying cisco expressway for remote and mobile access solutions and i have doubt about the media transport, when the media come from Edge to Core, do i have to create a firewall rule that permit UDP traffic for Edge to Core? because all cisco documentation only talk about the media traffic from Core to Edge. Thanks in advance.

You don't need to configure your firewall. You just need to configure your core and edge servers, and they compress UDP to use the ports mentioned in the video. The reason the documentation only talks about traffic from Core to Edge is because all traffic is *initiated* from the Core server, and the Edge server is only responding to it--> "Do you have a call?" This process is explained in the video. Also, you might want to take a look at the MRA videos I created after this one.

what is the necessity to open only two ports between expressway E and C. when we have express E behind firewall and if all udp ports are open between them there may not be any security issue since incoming traffic is coming from expressway E

An additional firewall in front of Express. E doesn't guarantee anything. Bottom line is that fewer ports = fewer potential pathways that could be exploited...
