Forgive him for making a football play? Deion said it himself that it's all part of the game. Travis didn't do this because he was being nice he did this for the both of them because Travis knows how childish the drama was after the hit. EVERYTHING about the way handled this today was superb. I'm like so many, Travis saved this young life. This young Travis is worth millions of dollars right now, and you can see the effect of him not out there. This young man's family and himself is from Boulder. Man this is insane to me. These boys are both like 20 years old and can already handle their differences better than most full grown men. We have people out here sending death threats to Blackburn while these guys go out and make up. No one liked the hit, and that’s ok, but if Travis is gonna recover, and Blackburn apologized, there’s no hate. Respect to both of them and I think this puts the issue to bed. Another sad day for people from CU or CSU who like petty grievances and drama because this will only make the true fans nothing but happy.

People have to understand that in a physical sports, it’s going to always be the goal to take the opposing player out. Just because we saw how they react when they tackle someone doesn’t mean they seriously intended to do physical harm. It’s just the satisfaction of knowing they took their intended target down. Freak botches and accidents happen all the time and if you think that you cannot be touched in a physical sport as Football, you’re in the wrong game, “dirty, clean” or not. Kudos to both Travis and Henry for clearing the air compared to the many who decided they had nothing better to do than to wish ill on Henry for doing his job.

I have no doubt he meant to hit him and…not sure how to say this. Announce that they were not going to lay down for ‘him’. He was watching Travis and sure he didn’t see that Travis didn’t catch the ball. They are right; it’s football and if they are good and moved on, so have I.

Travis is obviously a solid dude. He's got a really good heart and shows character that reflect the best of humanity. I am glad that he and Henry talked things through and decided to sit down to do this video for the benefit of all emotionally invested spectators. But that does not mean that I will/have to believe Henry when he said that he "didn't mean to hurt Travis" because that means that I will have to doubt my eyes (as lying) and my common sense (as irrational). Neither was the case and any other assertion is just insulting. Instead of saying what he said, Henry should have simply been big enough to say "I am sorry you were hurt"; he didn't even need to address intent. We all know what we saw. And whenever action and/or body language conflicts with words, our intelligent minds appropriately dictate to us what is really what. Regardless, I am glad the effort was made to get past what happened. That is the kind of forgiveness and healing that we all need to practice.

Colorado is a non-story. Let's talk about teams that really matter. Travis Hunter could have been playing for a Top 5 team (Florida State), but he might not have been good enough to start there. There was no one to guide this young man, and now he's made an awful decision that has changed his college career. Kids need to look at Travis Hunter as a cautionary tale of what happens when your ego is out of control.

@@ets1442 In the heat of the battle, I'm sure he did mean to hit him and maybe send a slight message that was built up in the spirit of how competitive the game was being an in-state rival and amplified by how Colorado State's coach was approaching the game and his attitude towards Coach Prime. But nobody really wants to see anybody get hurt. When the pads and helmet are on, you hit hard, you play hard, and you're never actually thinking about the worst happening. I was definitely of the mindset that he did that on purpose. But I can still see that it might not have been meant to actually hurt him. There have been times when I played that my guys would go out and crack back somebody on my behalf. I played quarterback from pop warner all the way through high school. I'm only 5'8"... and I was about a buck 55 in high school. My offensive line averaged 6'5" 230... with two tackles that were 6'7" 250+... and if anybody did catch me and supplexed my small behind or something (lol), you better believe one of my tackles was coming down the line on the next trap play ready to lay him flat on his ass. It's really in the spirit of the game... THE most competitive sport in America. I was hoping that somebody would head hunt number 17 after he blatantly smacked Travis. But after it's all said and done, they handled it like men, talked it out, prayed about it, wished each other the best and were able to hash it out. So you gotta respect their wishes and gracefully accept that it happened and it's over with now too.

@@Zenigundamthis made no sense what you wrote. Cautionary? Ego? What did he do to make you feel like he has a ego. Nothing is wrong with confidence. And making a decision to go to Colorado was a life decision. There is life after football. Look at the platform he had created right here right now in which we are on here commenting. He plays football. Nothing about football is considered caution.
