I agree, the craziest part to me though is it just doesn't seem like he should be as good as he is lol. Idk how to explain it but just looking at him I would never say he's one of the best tight ends ever but knowing who he is and what he does is just mind blowing. It's gonna be wild in the super bowl bc his brother plays for Philly my team and I'm commenting this after the Bengals got ass raped with no lube by the refs in the championship game. Gonna be cool to see two brothers in a super bowl and also makes me wonder why all players that have other family in the NFL are so good lol??? I can't name any brothers I'm the NFL that suck and that's weird as hell. Guess on top of all the competition they have in the NFL they also have that friendly brotherly competition as well witch makes them great players.

I couldn’t agree with you more!!! Long gone are the days, that I was absolutely stoked that KC hired Joe Freaking Montana, as a QB. I absolutely loved Neil Smith ,& Derrick Thomas, one on each side, sacking the snot out of Elway. Christian Okoye was a bad ass, & the 1st Chief that made me a fan, bcuz I grew up in the hood, in Cali surrounded by f…… Raiders fans. I was the minority in every sense of the word. Okoye would run like 5 yards every time he ran against the Raiders. Then believe it or not, I was actually excited that Matt Cassel was hired as a QB, that’s how desperate I was for a QB. Trent Green was an absolute dream, compared to the many absolute jack offs, we had as QB’s. The newer generation Chiefs fans I come across,( that only became fans bcuz of Mahomes) are so freaking cocky,& have no idea how blessed we are, as a fan base!!!

I’m not sure how old you were when you started watching the Chiefs but you are fortunate that the majority of your life they’ve been good. I’m 29 and became a fan when I was 9 years old so I got to live through about a decade of the team when you couldn’t say any of those things you just said about them. I had ten years as a fan before Andy came to town and it’s hard to remember sitting here now just how hopeless I was after 2012. In those first ten seasons I was a fan the team made the playoffs 3/10 seasons. 6/10 of those seasons they had a record under .500. They also went through four head coaches and 4/10 of those seasons they had a top five draft pick. The fanbase the year before Andy was so pissed off about the direction of the team there was a group of fans who paid to fly a banner above the stadium calling for the front office and coach to be fired. And it was even worse because they had made a trade to get Matt Cassel after he had one season replacing Tom Brady for injury and I remember being so excited to have finally landed a long term quarterback. And during those four seasons he was the starter he was abysmal for three of them. If the playoff seasons they did have all were one and done and two of them they were absolutely demolished in the wild card game. Before Andy it genuinely seemed hopeless they’d ever be a consistent playoff team much less contend for championships. If you started as young as I did then you got to experience some of those dark years before Andy came to town. So sitting here now and having Mahomes on this team is genuinely amazing and something I never thought we’d ever actually have. Because of that I hope that you got to experience some of those horrible years because I want you to be able to fully appreciate just how amazing it is to have Mahomes after only dreaming of ever having a player like him. A fan can’t fully appreciate the amazing feeling of Mahomes unless they got the full gambit of the dark years of hopelessness, the years of Alex where we won a lot of games but always underachieved to eventually have what we do now. Genuinely an amazing feeling that’s hard to convey.

I’m a die hard Chief’s fan of 30 years!!! It’s so freaking refreshing to hear you say that, bcuz I say this all the time, the younger generation of Chiefs fans annoy the hell out of me!!! They’re stereotypically some of the most cocky, spoiled fans, I see on the internet. This is coming from someone who grew up in the hood of Cali surrounded by f…… Raiders fans. I was the minority in every sense of the word!!! I hated Raider’s fans, they were all gangsters!!! What turned me on to the Chiefs was Christian Okoye RB, that seemed to run 10 yards every time he touched the freaking ball against the Raiders… Then on Defense we had the two baddest LB’s to ever rush the passer one on each side of the D line, in Neil Smith,& Derrick Thomas!!! It was a blast watching those two knock the snot out of Elway!!! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for being soo appreciative of OUR CHIEFS!!!!!

I’ve done Travis Kelce in Fantasy football how people were doing Tom Brady when he only had 3 Superbowls. Like every year , I said “nah I’m not drafting him, TE don’t stay hot that consistently for that long a time , he’s not gonna do it again.” And here we are a decade later and he’s still the top TE , it’s mind boggling.

Tebow drafted in the 1st round (25th) by the Denver Broncos in 2010 . . . hasn't played in the NFL since 2012 (we won't even talk about the circus show w/ the Jacksonville Jaguars & Urban Meyer last year). Any Reid is most underrated coach in sports imo. Dude has made every QB he has ever had look good. His offenses look good no matter what. And now that he has Mahomes/Kelce, he's just letting loose. I've never seen a team get more wide ass open than Chiefs players. Defenses legitimately have no idea what's coming at them most of the time.
@happyjemini

Exactly... He had the chiefs running a top 5 offense before Mahommes. Yet Patrick gets all the credit.

Other coaches on the staff have testified that Andy will stay up late at night drawing new plays on 3x5 note cards and will call them at like 2am with ideas and then leave a stack of play cards on their desk in the morning to review.

@Relax-il7zn Жыл бұрын
@@happyjemini Yeah. Mahomes is great for sure. But people won't admit that he's still a product of a system just because he can scramble and make flashy plays. You can't just magically make these plays off of pure skill. You still need a system that allows for it. But 99% of NFL fans have no idea how offense or defense actually work schematically and just see him on highlights and call him GOAT. Without Reid he's gonna look a lot less godly than people think he is.
@JayskiDinero
@JayskiDinero Жыл бұрын
@@Relax-il7zn "you can't just make these plays magically off skill" as Mahomes continues to make magical plays off skill. Every good QB is a product of the system, you tried to make some hot take and you sound like you don't know what you're talking about Mahomes is a generational QB with the entire package of talent and leadership.
@Relax-il7zn
@Relax-il7zn Жыл бұрын
@@imissryo Where did I discredit him? Where did I say every QB doesn't benefit from a good scheme? I'm pointing out a blatant fact. People love to go crazy over QBs because of their stats. All I was stating was that Mahomes isn't this god like human being that would be dropping 50 TDs no matter where he goes and that Reid plays a major role in that success. Reid has made every QB he has ever had look great. I think Mahomes could potentially be the GOAT. Never once said he's not amazing. But Reid isn't mentioned enough. But I guess saying that means I'm discrediting him. Fanboys are wild. I guess if you give any1 any credit besides the QB and point out they have an all time great offensive coach it's discrediting. Got it.
