I miss hanging out with his mother and Vern every year (I could make it). That's the closest I'll ever get to the man, but dammit, I met Vernie. And sometimes, she'd play a mean harp along with us. I'm sure her and Shannon are off jamming, somewhere.

Great track T...definitely has that Tool style circular progression..Adam Jones would be proud....and of course Shannon. I was lucky enough to have seen Shannon a dozen times and met him a handful of times when he was living in Chicago. I still remember exactly where I was when I heard about his passing...was (and still is) crushing news...he was a one ofba kind. Keep the flame lit in his honor and of course keep making great music. Cheers

Im a sick person when iy comes to music because everyday I listen to 8 to 10 albums, I never read a book in my life, I dont watch tv and I dont listen to the radio , ONLY MY MUSIC. Hope to see u guys next year, im planning to go to the gathering to meet u guys in 2025 .. it will be 30 years since he's gone. greetings from Portugal

That story rings true to me as well. Shannon is the reason I never miss a show of any artist I like. I had a ticket to the last show Blind Melon played in Boston but ended up not going. My biggest regret. But I definitely didn’t miss the Club Hell Providence RI show (the first official Blind Melon show after Shannon’s passing). You totally channeled him that night and we all bawled our eyes out screaming along with you. A small show, but by far, the loudest I had even been to. Thank you Travis for letting his legacy live on and help keep the band going.

Side note for you Travis- after meeting that night in Providence, you and I exchange letters for a while and you ended sending me a whole slew of your own material Solo stuff, Rain Fur Rent, 00-Metro. Amazing stuff! Ever since then, I have always wished for you to bring your solo song “Attack Of The Calm Bomb” to Blind Melon with a release. Seriously one of my all time fave songs

Maynard, Chris Cornell & Shannon, for me. I was about 18/19, my wife at the time bought the first Blind Melon album, because she liked the first single, but when she heard the rest of the album, she decided she wasn't into (should've known then the marriage would fail lol) but I wasn't that into the single, but the rest of the album hooked me & so many of his lyrics were relatable to me & my circle of people.

I purchased "Blind Melon" on Sept 26, 1996 after my brother loaned me his that was all scratched up, i could only hear 2-3 songs that would play on it and I had not known that Shannon and my mother has the say Birthday of Sept 26th. For me I was elated to hear BM. Then I got Soup and WOW! even though it was not a critical success, I loved it just the same.

I’m talking to myself more I’m talking to myself more I’m talking to my self more!! -2X4 I always sing along to their music at top of lungs I always end up losing my voice because I have a really hard time hitting Shannon’s high notes. I just love that they were like hippie and jazz blues rock, very underrated w/too much focus on no rain. I’m like no; their other music blows no rain out of the water.
