20 years ago, this song made me turn...this version made me turn further. Well done, Travis. Forever a fan.

Admit this is my favourite song 🎵 of all time. What genius writing ✍. I love the rawness of this acoustic version. 😍 Live to sing my own rendition like Fran 👍🏼 👌

I used to sing this song on my set, its too high too soon and hurts your voice! I lover it a few steps and it sounded MUCH better.. Brilliant song! Travis was about when I was young.. he must be 50 by now! Plenty of water and plenty of practise Travis mate ;o)

He probably has some vocal damage happens to a lot of live singers especially hitting high notes a lot, He does pretty well for his age though his voice just isn't as smooth and defined as it was. I remember seeing a very young shy and inexperienced Travis on Jools Holand singing all i wanna do is rock. And he had a young voice lots of power and range, Personally i liked him singing it a couple of years later he had a slightly more manly voice and wasn't so nervous. And had the song more refined. I still listen to Travis only i dont smoke weed and play it at full volume on my guitar anymore wasted lol . But hey i was young and enjoying myself. Today im a lot more refined myself.

No he has the same range he's always had, he always pulls strained faces and makes the notes sound more choked off than they need to be because that's the style. He's pitch perfect here, no bother reaching the high notes. On "A Ghost" in 2020 he's hitting Bb4s no problem and has a strong G2 in "Waving at the Window". He maybe doesn't go as crazy with high range slides and distortion like he used to, but the range is still there

@@badgasaurus4211 watch his first preformance on Jools Holland singing All i wanna do is Rock. You cant tell me he still has that range. He was loads more powerful. He is forcing it out now because of vocal damage for sure. He cant hold the high notes as long even if he hits them.
For the love of god.... TAKE THE SONG DOWN A HALF STEP OR TWO.... the straining to get the high notes is painful to watch but I keep watching cos the song is unreal.

Goodness me doing more damage to the vocal chords , if you want to play this chords in that position just detune the guitar 🎸 great song but that was painful 😳

How many albums did you sell? They are getting on and singing live on acoustics? I admit they are trying to hard, but you do better? At least they can sing live!
