Their record company (and you cannot blame them) reinvented them as a 'British Bangles' as at this point the Bangles were the best selling all female instrument playing band plus I think both parties were looking to have a major hit run of some description and give Fuzzbox their dues they achieved two top 20 (sugarcoat it by saying top 15) hits in a matter of months plus a top five peaking parent album but as the '80s were morphing into the '90s, Fuzzbox like any other '80s associated act were seen as 'yesterday heroes' and the musical landscape had changed within that year , a lot more guitar based indie bands, dance music was continuing to dominate the 90s landscape and more 'serious' music was taking hold.

Your insinuations are way off mark!! I didn't allude at all that they flopped because in retrospect they didn't, they just about broke through when the Bangles were the biggest all female instrument playing rock band and if anything the public and perhaps the media didn't allow them that proper chance of them to flourish further plus as the decade change came around, it's very rare that those who emerged in a previous decade progress into the next and unfortunately/unfairly Fuzzbox were a 'cross decade casualty' - other '89 dominating chart acts like Transvision Vamp, Inner City, London Boys, Sydney Youngblood etc suffered similar fate.
