Take it from a retired birthing center nurse, not seeing any other patients around is a GOOD thing! When we were super busy, we had laboring moms in the nursery, in the triage room, etc. It was stressful! Can't wait to meet your handsome boy!🩵🧸🙏

Thank you for being a nurse in a birthing centre. You would be remembered by thousands of families for the care you gave them. I’m now a granny remember the nurses and midwives I had help deliver my babies. And….funny story…my sin became a police officer and I recognised the name of the nurse that delivered him…..graduating as a police officer in her 40s. My son and the nurse who delivered him rest bond because she delivered him. We only knew her for 7 hours but is she made us feel so supported. ❤

Congratulations! The same thing happened to my daughter in June with a homebirth and her little girl had to be rushed to the Nicu with oxygen level issues. They were there for four or five days and brought her home on oxygen for three weeks. She is flourishing now. Prayers and happiness for you all.

Katie and Travis are so sweet to each other! I can never get over how many family membersgo to the hospital whilst mum is in labour in the US! In the UK, it is generally only the father allowed in. As my daughter (also Katie!) has a partner with some mental health issues, I have been present to help and witness the births of all 3 grandchildren. But this is definitely not the norm. Here we aim for calm and quiet! Lol. Can't wait to see Harvey - and Haley with him xx

The reason you were probably in a lot of labor pain could be due to the hurricane. I’ve heard that there are A LOT of babies born when the pressure drops. My husband and I adopted both of our girls so this pregnancy/ labor is new to me. Congrats!!! So happy for you, Travis and Hailey!!! 💕💕💕

ahhhh, a cliffhanger! I had the weepies with one of mine. I love how much support they allow in the rooms now. My first one was wayyy back when they believed everything had to be sterile and only the Mom was in the room with the nurses. Dad's had to sit in the hallway. (clearly I am aging myself big time). No epidurals back then either. It was deal with the pain, then push. It's great how far medicine has come. Travis you are an amazing husband, so in tune with Katie and what she needed, I love this. I also love Hailey's FIRM NOPE when she was told the baby was coming. Not sure she's going to be happy at first. "Nope".... I love her. Too cute.
