Thanks for slowing the exercises down. Most youtubers who teach, are into flexing their chops, and flashing some tabs on the screen. What you do is exactly what the people are looking for!

LOL! Love the bottom lip bite! It's a bassist's go-to face. I love it. I think it really comes out when you get to that intermediate level of playing when you are comfortable laying down a fat groove, locking in with the drummer, and you physically feel that amazing feeling of throwing it down. Loved this lesson. I have some stuff to work on because I have only ever been intermediate level and now I want to bump up my skills. My church is going to think I went to a gospel church and took a few lesson from the 4 hour long worship sessions! haha

Great exercizes, thank you! I would however suggest to start the exercizes on the upper part of the fretboard. Doesnt make any sence to start out on the hardest part of the neck.

Get a 4 string , string it with Flatwounds and raise the action and practice.. start a scale at a slow tempo then try to pick up your tempo but don’t be in a rush.. this will help your strength, dexterity, tone and articulation . It definitely helps if you’re and everyday player but some are not and that’s ok.doesn’t mean you can’t improve.. Personally I’ve used Tuba and Trombone suites solo pieces that has help me improve every way..also as Travis has mention practicing shout music ( and also Blue Grass) will help you tremendously

Good analogy with weight lifting. You have to keep pushing yourself. And yeah, a metronome is the only way to do it. It doesn't make you sound mechanical. Ultimately, it will allow you to sound smooth. And it's fun to have a good enough sense of tempo to be able to give the drummer a dirty look when he/she speeds up (as all drummers do).
