Hello, could you please make a video that clearly explains how to connect a Mac to a PC. I would like to send Resolume Arena via Qlab (on mac) on PC.

How to use multiple projectors from various angles - like how Disney can light all sides of a cylindrical castle turret with a seamless image. Is that done via content creation with multiple sync'd video files or can the mapping software handle multiple "cameras" in the same scene?
@TMKInteractive2 жыл бұрын
3D projection mapping is usually done by starting with a 3D model of the thing you are projection mapping. You then "flatten" it to make a UV texture. You create the content on this texture then a specialized projection mapping software (Watchout, Disguise, Mad Mapper) will wrap your content back around your 3D model as well as calibrate where your projectors are in the 3D coordinate space. In the areas where two or more projectors overlap on the 3D object the edge blending is very similar to what is explained in the video, but it is done at a projector output level, rather than a surface level as shown in this video.

thank you very helpful! do you have any videos on putting three projectors together? (mounted horizontally - due to the size of our theater!). ugh!

wow, honestly the best explanation

One of the very few Videos that actually explain how to do this properly! Congrads! Question: Can you do this with 9 projectors (stack 3 by 3)?

never mind... it's only for MAC. lol

This video is very useful, thanks a lot. My question is can we export the video in regular size, and later adjust in Q-lab to screen into two screens? Or should we export them dividing into two?

can you blend 4 projectors (2 x 2) in a sqaure with qlab as well?

We are trying to find someone to help us with a current project. We are trying to combine 12 projectors to display one large image. We are currently using Datapath FX4 devices to support this need. We need assistance to edge blend the 12 projectors to create one clean image. We’ve heard there is softwares that can help but don’t have any experience in this arena. The projectors we are using are the Viewsonic LS550wh. Do you have any experience by chance or know of someone who may be able to help? We would be happy to pay you of course. Thank you so much!

How much do you charge to edge blending projectors?

Great video!! I was reading the comments above, but am unclear. Is there any way to achieve this with QLab using an image splitter? We’re trying to blend four projectors, but we don’t have four outputs available.
@TMKInteractive2 жыл бұрын
If you have an image splitter that just duplicates the image it will not work. For QLab to work it will need to see each projector as a separate display.

How are you connecting the projectors? Is it using a splitter, or two different connections?
@TMKInteractive3 жыл бұрын
I used two separate connections to my MacBook Pro(two USB-C -> HDMI adapters). This allows QLab to see each projector as a separate display. There are some limitations on how many displays you can connect to a MBP however, some of them are hardware limitations(like the M1 mac products). If you need more displays you can check out the QLab system recommendations page where they list some ways to connect to more displays by using Blackmagic cards or EGPUs.

@@TMKInteractive thank you! The thing is I was using an HDMI Splitter but the computer was not registering both as separate projectors, but as one. Causing it to be a double image so I was never going to be able to blend them. Thank you again for confirming my theory.

So we can play IMAX format with that right ?
@TMKInteractive3 жыл бұрын
As much as I love Mac computers I think you would make them very unhappy trying to display a 12k image 😂
