I use a 3rd party shipper from China. The last order I sent in, I didn't get shipping updates uploaded into Amazon, I had to ask my shipper for updates so my estimated date of arrival was wrong and Amazon gave me a warning on that because it arrived before the date I had put in. Do you recommend using an Amazon suggested shipper? Is it cheaper, and does it just streamline everything. I don't wanna run into the issue again. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Personally, I prefer having it ship to me so I can check quality of the products and also avoid paying a hefty amount in storage fees.

Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, most guests will use a combination. If all the goods are sent to the Amazon warehouse, the freight may be more favorable, but when the Amazon warehouse is full and you are not allowed to send so many goods, you can first send a part to your address, and then replenish the inventory when Amazon's inventory is insufficient.So how do you choose, which is better for you

I did online arbitrage and I got sent with few of the items having different “used by” date. I couldn’t create 1 shipment to put everything in 1 box because Amazon only allows 1 expiration date in a box. It can be multiple SKUs with same expiration but not same SKUs with different expiration. I contacted Amazon last night and I was told, I have to ship them on separate box which means I have to create 2 different shipment since they have different expiration dates even if they are same SKUs. That’s a bummer considering I only have 2 of the same items that has different used by dates compared to the rest of the same items I have on hand. I am a beginner and I honestly didn’t know this.

Are you supposed to add the listing onto Amazon before shipping the product from the suppliers to the Amazon warehouse? If so then what do you do with regards to the pictures/video for the listing which you must take when you have the product with you? Hey Hamed! Yes, you need to create a listing before you can ship the product as you will have to create a shipping plan. For the pictures, you can make use of rendered images which is what I recommend.

I selected to use manufactures barcode because I am private label, but thought that meant I can use the GTIN labels I have on the product since the product is private branded. Is this accurate? Hi Travis - I love your videos, they are so helpful. I've watched almost all of them! I have a product being manufactured in China that will be ready to ship in about 8 weeks. I went to print out FNSKU labels for my products and received the following notification: "Reminder: Please cover any existing standard barcodes (UPC, ISBN, EAN) with the new FBA item labels. If you selected manufacturer barcode for an item and the barcode is scannable on each unit, there is no need to print and apply additional item barcode labels". I have UPCs on my product packaging. Does this mean I do not need the FNSKU? What is the advantage of having one anyway? Will it allow me to track my products within the Amazon ecosystem? Would you recommend that I label my products with FNSKUs despite already having a UPC? Any guidance you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Fantastic video! Thank you. 2 questions... 1) I created my product but it's inactive (I switched it to FBA and am preparing the shipment). Meanwhile, it's showing as "out of stock. Is this public to other people? Does Amazon still take that into account and ding you? Technically it's not even selling yet, but I hear so many warnings about never showing as out of stock. 2) If I'm only sending my first ever shipment, and not sure how quickly I'll need to replenish, is it still a good idea to have a second shipment ready to go right after sending the first to Amazon? Thanks for watching! Your listing is still inactive as your shipment has not arrived at the warehouse yet. As long as it arrives within your set shipping plan, it should be all good. For your second shipment, it depends but I would recommend giving some waiting time so you can determine how much you should do for your second shipment.

You can have a freight forwarder help you out on this. Personally, I prefer to have the products ship to me so I can check the quality myself before sending it to the warehouse.

Yes they do offer a service for that. It's more expensive though, I would recommend having your manufacturer label it instead as it is cheaper

How in the world is your shipping cost $55 and the weight is 336lb. Mine is 264lb and they are charging me $207. Mind you, i selected the 1 shipment.What i'm i doing wrong? . Also, Do they keep changing the website because they have an option of 5 shipments at no placement cost so the question is, can you hand over one pallet that has multiple FBA location addresses?i.e because i chose the 5 shipment option, 4/6 boxes have very different FBA addresses. The other 2 have a different one. Can i put them all in one pallet for LTL pickup?

Travis I love your channel tahnk you, just getting started with FBA. Do you suggest sneding everything to a 3PL and then have the 3PL ship to Amazon, or start by doing everythign in my house and then when I grow out of it get a 3PL? I am thinking of paying a small premium and starting straight away with a 3PL to avoid mistakes, save my time, and economies of scale, and amazon fba prep expertise. What do you think? Can you make a video on this strategy/supply chain flow? Thanks!

Personally, I would recommend having it ship to you first so you can see your inventory firsthand before sending it to the warehouse. Also, you don't have to send all of your inventory to the warehouse and send it in batches instead so you can save on storage fees.

Hi Travis, you have 300+ lbs and amazon just charged you 26.62. do you know why amazon charge me $30 for just 15lbs...(placement fee + shipping fee)?? I tried both 1 shipment option($21 placement fee + just $9 shipping fee) and 4 shipment option (0 placement fee + higher shipping fee).
