Sir, how can you identify if the client is a scam ? What are the list type or kinds of scam in freelancing and how to avoid them?

Im still looking into definitive ways to start out as a developer. I think online platforms such as upwork are not a good starting point, too much competition, hard to get any contact without prior reviews. It would be nice if there was a beginner friendly way to start making some money online. & get clients aproach you :D . But this doesnt seem to be the case. So yeah maybe a guide or more tipps I think I will be good to go soon , since im currently in contact with a agency via internship... But the only way for them to work with me is having a basic understanding of the whole stack. So its kinda true they cant put ressoursces into teaching me ... so you gotta show up as aa whole full stack dev package from the start :D.... Doing php , sql , html , css , js , wordpress development.... Basicly an engine that can handle itself without any or very little instruction... I like it .... & think its a good starting point though. But it just shows you that anyone is basicly self taught in this industry & no is is going to teach you :D

Hello. Thank you for your great videos! My concern is how I can pay taxes if I work for multiple companies without being an actual employee of any company like this. Do they provide you some documents to pay tax at the end of the year?
@TravisMedia4 жыл бұрын
Hi Anthony. This could differ depending on your location/state, etc. So in my area here's the ideal scenario: A web agency hires me to do a job for them. They have me fill out a W-9 so they can "gather my taxpayer identification number and contact info." If they pay me over $600 during that year, they are then required to send me a 1099 at the end of the year. On my end, this 1099 does not need to be entered in with my taxes like a W-2 would, but the gov knows about it. So you would add the total of what you made from that company like you would do any other company, either based on your own accounting system, or using the 1099, but the 1099 really means nothing more than that to you. But overall some companies will not ask you to fill out a W-2 nor send you a 1099. If this is the case, just be sure you do your part of keeping up on how much they have paid you, and pay your taxes quarterly. Do your part primarily, and all the 1099/w9 stuff is secondary (in my opinion).
