Cudi didn’t have a verse. This song was really not a rap song. Travis literally sings. Since it’s a pop and R&B song, the hook is a chorus. Then you got Cudi and Philip Bailey on the chorus, Cudi humming and Philip saying “stop trying to be god” while Travis takes the two verses and James Blake singing the bridge.

The meaning of the vídeo/song is: Famous people can influence others so much that they start acting like they are god telling people how to act, think, and be, sometimes destroying them, turning good people into trash people. Basically a perfect song. Some 5 years later I'm still in awe of it. Assembling Kid Cudi's hums, Stevie Wonder's harmonica, and the singing talents of Philip Bailey and James Blake on a song with production, melodies and hooks this strong is a match made in heaven. James' outro with Stevie's harmonica in particular gives me goosebumps every time.

Travis is lying and saying its not who we are. travis made himself a lamb in the hands of a shining kylie jenner. that's clearly blasphemy against Jesus "the lamb of God" and the virgin mary. he's also used the satanic imagery of himself as a goat and also an apocalypse.

THE MEANING: Travis was a follower (sheep) in the beginning, then God blessed him but the power went to his head and he tried to become a god, so God destroyed him and he was reborn as a sheep again. This is meant to be a message to everyone in a position of power that if you misuse it, God will take it away just as quick as he gave it to you.

I like how the flock of sheep are used as a metaphor. Sheep are seen as the followers of Christ in the Bible, while goats are depicted as Satan or his followers. Travis is also sort of playing the roll as a shepherd, where of course in the Bible Angel Gabriel came down to tell the shepherds that Jesus was born. All on a track called stop trying to be god. Masterpiece.

Satan has an urgency and he knows what’s gonna happen in the future. But the question is; Do We?. I wanna tell you whoever is reading this that the Bible and the Bible only gives us a clear view what’s gonna take place in the future. *Music is made a Snare* There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions.. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit's working.... Those things which have been in the past will be in the future. Satan will make music a snare by the way in which it is conducted. {Last Day Events 159.2} “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” (2 Thes. 2:10). I encourage you young people to receive the love of the truth. Read the Bible because there is Hope, Meaning and Comfort there. Repent your sins and have a strong relationship with Jesus because He’s the only Way, Truth and Life. God Bless!

My interpretation: All the sheep are ordinary people, they follow aimlessly (following stereotypes of sheep being followers), then the Dragon is someone empowered, "trying to be God". It burns the area. Everyone runs but Travis stays showing that perhaps he was envious and also "wanted to be God" and be powerful/have influence. He is burned which can symbolise him becoming a new person. He now has influence, has the people in suits following him, then baptised people like Jesus would do again re-alliterating that he's attempting to be God with his new found influence. Then he's on the Dragon roaming, and he only burns the area (could be a symbolism of his hubris) then the cycle continues where at first someone else was exerting that powerful influence that intrigued Travis. Then God punishes him when he shoots him with a laser. Perhaps Travis is trying to show he was punished for losing his faith. Then at the end the little lamb held by Kylie Jenner could be Stormi?? (I don't know about that one, it seems as if they replicating birth of Christ but in a twisted way but I'm not sure) But ultimately i think the message is that celebrities have a powerful influence, and how they get this power isn't in "gods will" or comes with a sacrifice that can't be undone. And that no matter how tempted you are like h93 Travis and others that "sold their soul" became, you must've "try to be God".

HackmanXD thats what lucifer did. He was envious of god so he tried to be him. Resultibg in his eternal punishment. We need to know our universal place. As equal beings in a game of chess that we cannot be part of. We are the peices. But its a very real game. God loves and cherishes his peices giving them purpose. While the devil takes and disposes with no care of the peice being a person to him its just another replacable cheap tool
@artistguy506 жыл бұрын
I feel like him being destroyed by god is essentially his damnation to hell when the time comes. I think when he’s burned by the fire it’s his way of conveying he knows his role is done and that in the end he’ll pay for all the things he’s done. The baphomet breathing fire upon everything could represent the world that’s left after Yeshua has come back for his people. Now I could be wrong but Travis dying could essentially be either the conveying of Michael and Satan going at it one last time before Satan is ultimately defeated or when the time comes like I said Travis and a host of other celebrities that have given up their souls to Satan will be cast into the fire for all of eternity.

For anyone saying that they think this video is demonic keep in mind that the Bible tells us not to try and be God but to be like God so I think this video when interpreted correctly can show us that we need to be more like Christ and stop trying to be worshiped like a god and stop trying to be an actual God and take on the attributes of Jesus Christ and what he actually stood for because it’s all an allegory
