I bought this album the day it came out, and 22 years later this song still takes me a place no other song does. Just beautiful.

Poetry turned into song. Best song of Travis, and Fran Healy is simply a genius.

I cried when i listen to this song .. the feeling of being heartbroken, listening to sad songs, feeling alone, i miss this feeling 😂 as one grows older, one realised that being heartbroken is not the only feeling which will make you feel terrible, there are more cruelties in life ...

I was in my first year in the university in the year after this album came out, which I bought as my first purchased CD. It was also a year in which I first lived far from my family,, leading to so many intense new experiences and things happening emotionally... And in that November, I came out. This song, as it is, finishing the album in such a great way and with its very specific tone and feel, made me just turn up the volume, turn off the lights, close my eyes and wander with my mind in the imagery and the message of the song. So much of that emotion still feels intact, now, listening to it 22 years later.

Saw them last night at Albert Hall (Manchester) and they were epic. This song still hits hard for me, reminds me of some amazing (as well as sad) times when it was first released.

My best mate is a genius on the guitar. I can't sing at all When I broke up with my 1st real girlfriend. I belted out this song while he played the guitar. It was personal and I'll never forget him for that.

All of the king's horses And all of the kings men Couldn't put my heart back together again All of the physicians and mathematicians too Failed to stop my heart from breaking in two 'cause all I need is you I just need you Yeah, you got the glue So I'm going to give my heart to you I had a premonition A movie in my mind Confirming my suspicions about what I would fine You followed me to LA, down to Mexico Came in through the back door At the start of the show 'cause all I need is you I just need you Yeah, you got the glue So I'm going to give my heart to you Oh was a perfect day Oh in a perfect way You know, something had to go You left me high, you left me low Now as I lie in pieces, await for your return The sun upon my forehead It burns, baby, burns, baby, burns An eye on all my horses You slept with all my men I'm never going to get it together again

Singing along as much as I did to Travis' songs as a teenager extended my vocal range! This band is an absolute gem.

Hard to understand how a BRIT Winning Band could not gain support here, in North America... TRAVIS have Many BRILLIANT Tunes, but the digital Ladies & Dudes were Not Properly programming their Tunes. Perhaps, it's due to their DARKNESS ? Any Thoughts? Curious.... Thank you if you Reply..... 😂 ❤
