Tbh Gold is a low performing asset, its more of a stable value holder then lets say cash or Bitcoin , but realistically that's just because the Jewelry business will have a constant demand aswell as computer chips, but besides that its a piece of metal that doesn't earn you anything in return for owning it so again its not really an investment its more of just a store of value that can rise and fall with inflation and other demand increases such as low interests rates from the FED and things to that nature. So your approach should be to diversify abit into Gold, Stocks, Real Estate and businesses if you have an entrepreneurial mindset, a safe diverse mixture of all these assets will guarantee you life long wealth way into your older years how much is anyone guess but you'll earn more then you had originally by Buying income producing assets like real estate and Stocks, but you need a safe mix of Stable Wealth like Gold and Gems and things to that nature to be your replacements for cash just encase your wealth producing assets shit the fan.
