I have a lot of rustler/ bandit parts already so I was going to buy a carbon chassis kit and probably the HD proline trans. Do you think that's a good way to start drag build also did that chuckworks chassis work well for you or should I try a different brand? Sorry so long but my local hobby shop is no help and I don't know anyone already in the hobby

The build sounds fun the CHUCKWORKsC chassis seems great what I noticed is he has no wheelie bars ever in stock which is holding me up his parts supply been lagging for a year 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️I’d look for a chassis that has things in stock before you start your build 💯💯💯

Good choice of body. I had and 86 IROC in 96' white with red interior. Chevy only made a handful of colors. Metallic blue was one them. I'm thinking of going candy orange for mine. The real question is; are you going to do a clear/glass roof to simulate the T-Tops. Keep it up the great work. Can't wait to see what's next. . . .

Whatever color you choose, consider backing it in either a gold or silver. Current top post suggests backing in chrome. That might be a cool option as well. Just a thought/suggestion...Take your lexan cut outs and before you recycle them, test out a few of each of your top color choices then compare each color with some various backing colors. After you land on some of your top choices, you can then post a pole in the community section. You could narrow it down to some choices that you are comfortable with, then let the community decide on the final choice based on options you put forth. My favorite color is a candy red type backed in metallic gold. If you feel like your due for some shade of purple based RC, I'd think it would be a good fit for an IROC body? As a Colorado State University alumni, (hint.. my profile pic.😊) I am a huge fan of Green and Gold. Something else that my look good, though I am not sure how I would look on that body, is a yellow based color. Not florescent yellow but, borderline florescent. Whatever you chose, I'm sure it will look great!

I'm not sure the Jay concept C10 that you have is meant to run with skinnies up front. I think that is more of a speedrun body That accepts larger wheels up front while still concealing them inside the body. Proline has just released a C 10 body Dad is made to run skinnies up front so I'm guessing I don't know for sure that the dimensions of the proline body are different than the J concepts body. Either way I like your choice I built a Chevy IROC myself. I think the protoform bodies are for the 4tec 2.0 touring car sized. 190mm 200mm Not for a slash drag car. I have the protoform C8 on a 4tec Edit: as I kept watching the video you did mention the tires being different for a drag body on the J concept truck
