Thanks for the video. Did you change out the stock shock caps to the aluminum? I'm a little uncertain as to these upgrades due to having been told by a few owners that changing the toe rods to aluminum and these steel drive shafts tend to cause other suspension failure issues. I'd like to have the 17mm hubs to accommodate larger wheels, but I'm feeling sorta stuck with not being able to get different tires now. Have any thoughts? With all of the upgrades, it makes it an expensive RC. Thank you for your time and reply.

Yeaaa man! True, great truck for the price but if it had Some of these upgrades out of the box it would’ve drove the price up. Plus you know they have all this up their sleeve before the release. Figured everyone buy the truck and then upgrade as you go. Then release the wideMaxx and then have to upgrade again😂💸💰. Yes thank you traxxas! Hope your feeling better bro! 🤘

They have part 5353g, hubs and nuts for $21.99. they also have widemaxx version 2 out which comes with extended length axles to retain the stock axle engagement without having to go steel.

the 5353 part # does not fit the steel cv driveshafts (hole isnt big enough to fit onto driveshaft). Don't make the same mistake I did

All the aluminum upgrades looks absolutely badass. I got it all for mine but I just didn't like how much more weight it added. I feel its way more durable with the plastic stuff since its way lighter.

@@EVERYDAYRC Yea man I think at some point I was hitting close to 13.7 pounds or something insane lok, it was just way too heavy and just different bashing it. Back down to 10.7 and the feel and drive is insanely different.

So wondering what people's thoughts are on the maxx. I have a kraton exb and a kraton 8s as well. I know this is a 1/10 car but ppl are saying its closer to a 1/8. Question is after all the money you put into the wide maxx kit would one be better off with just buying a xmaxx?

The Maxx is a great 1/10th Basher. Very durable and and fast. It doesn’t feel like a 1/10th. I’m a large scale guy myself and have stayed away from 1/10th for a while but I’m very happy with it. I would say if you don’t own an XMAXX I would get that first but if money is an issue I would get the maxx and start there because it’s basically a shrunken down version of the XMAXX! 😊👍

I own lots of traxxas rcs but do not own a xmaxx or maxx. Just trying to figure out money wise what would be better to build plus the lady would be driving and the maxx and xmaxx seem to be a better fit than my kratons.

Yea understand that heat is brutal. I was going to mention it in the video because I get so many questions about them but I forgot. They are guitar foot stools on eBay. Good for display purposes but not the best for wrenching. I’ll be getting out soon and bashing. Going to make it happen! ✌️
