Awesome build Readyset, You officially got me sold on adding a Raptor R to my collection someday it will replace both my Hoss and Slash 4x4 Ultimate. I also plan to get the new Fiesta Rally VXL to loan out to friends and family but currently plan to get a new Limitless V2 this fall. Both the Raptor and Rally will come next year maybe.

You’re not lying about that the marketing was terrible. They seem to market the hell out of stuff that isn’t actually ready to be sold yet lol. It’s a shame they’re always trying to just keep up with the Jones’ the old saying goes. If they just took a little extra time and really did the proper R&D there could be some real good trucks coming from them

@REPLAYRC I know Traxxas just reduced it by $30. Hopefully we'll see more of a reduction as they get closer to their licensing goal on the body.

If you don't mind, what size pinion did you go with, and do you have a top speed? I have a raptor and I'm thinking about this, or velineon 540xl. I just want a little more out of it than the stock setup. I already went to 16t but it overheats too much.

@furyianman5157 I'm running the stock pinion size. A lot of room to gear up, no heat issues even on 4S. Speed was not impressive which is why I'm going to gear up. I got 45mph off-road.

They are $499(On sale currently) and I have one. In fact I may buy another one I like it so much. I live 40 min from their HQ and retail shop in Texas and I like to keep my money local if I can.
