I can't get over how light it is. Im used to RC cars weighing around 5 kg. Notorious, Asuga. This car 1.8 kg so light. So easy to work on !

I can't get over how much i love this car. And as i said earlier i also hav Asuga. Arrma notorious. Theses days i am enjoying the 2WD brushless stampade over my other cars. Also less breakage because of the light weight of the car !

Yeah I have so many larger rc cars and they don't get near the use of the Stampede and Gorgon. Definitely considering getting another!

Hey y'all if you plan on getting one of these go ahead and order the wheelie bar. I completely forgot what a wheelie monster this is!

I called same as you about the base mode stampede without battery , they gave me code for 30.00 off a rtr with battery to use to make it 169.99 great company great service.

That's awesome. Great that we can still get in touch with a company like this. Redcat does it too and a few others but they're few are far between. Thanks for the comment!

I bought a stampede 2wd after owning several different rc cars some of them being much much faster better handling etc I absolutely love the 2wd stampede. It wheelies its top heavy just super crazy fun and the donuts it does in the loose dirt is so much fun 😂 I absolutely love this truck it just makes me feel like a kid again. I also like that it’s brushed and it uses nimh packs just got a nostalgia fun factor that’s not trying to be too serious. I forget all about annoying adult life when I run that thing around 😂😂😂😂 I like it so much I almost want to buy a couple more 😂😂

You nailed it. That Stampede is a blast right out of the box. Other than a wheelie bar so I'm not trashing bodies that is one of the most fun vehicles in that price range. Hands down. Thanks for the comment ! Cheers!

Yeah I just bought the same RC. It's awesome but had to change CV Joint keeps breaking. Had to upgrade from plastic to metal. Now it's running perfect! I never thought I would love this car !!!

I picked one up on Consignment at an RC shop, was only run 3 times. I am going brushless. I already sold the NIMH battery and charger, so only paid $200. I did add the fuel line tubing to the shocks to reduce body roll. The charger was not USBC. I just got the Stampede for camping. I cannot run my high speed RC's in a campground, too dangerous. It will be a fun truck. I will let kids run it. Not like my Slash or E- Revo

Steering reverse is a function you can do on the tq controller with using the bind button and turning the steering wheel in the right order Team associated/reedy electronics also has a trade in program that is better than traxxas. Traxxas requires your trade in to be a traxxas product while Associated will accept trade ins from whatever manufacturer. So you can trade your traxxas part into AE and get a discount on a new AE product But you cannot trade your AE part Into traxxas for a discount on a traxxas product

Thanks for the extra info! Yes Team Associated does! It's funny because my last few vehicles had so little info with them I forgot about their exchange program. It is a good program if you know what you want to swap out. I don't think they advertise that much anymore. Maybe when Thunder Tiger purchased them they decided not to press that point. Those vehicles used to come with a sheet for parts exchange you could fill out. I think it's a pdf. Comparing it to the power up program is fair if you know what you need. I think Traxxas does a good job describing their Power Up program with their cars that have this available. I'll make sure to mention it on my Team Associated review. As for the steering reverse I was just talking about the base controller. I use reverse steering for one handed driving. I have a theory as to why I think reversing for one hand is easier my only point was it's not on the transmitter. And it is in the ESC guide probably but this video was just an introduction to the Stampede. I did it after the Arrma Gorgon and specifically didn't mention the Gorgon because I wanted the review to just be about this particular car. Lastly, and it's why I thank you for your comment, I don't script anything or do a ton of videos so I often miss things or just don't mention something unless it is on my mind. It's good that you brought up those two points! Take care! Cheers!

No lights or wheely bar like previous yrs & now the box says 35 will it do 38 on speed pinion . Did they include a speed pinion , are the shock caps diff. or same leaky ones Traxxas is known for ? lol Awesome truck & that's the best color choice, by the way.
@redvikinghobbies Жыл бұрын
Correct on all counts. No high speed pinion. Level 1 rating. No advertised speed rating like they used to do *with included high pinion gear. Also all the LED only models look to.be discontinued. Last year they came out with that line for at least the big 4 (Slash/Bandit/Rustler/Stampede) and still had the ready to race models and they are all gone. So the new line up seems to be this as the base, then the bl series brushless 4x4 and then a Hoss. Literally 2 Stampede options. (11/30/2023) With the other cars there are more options and models before we hit VXL. Also Bigfoot should probably be in the Stampede category because it's just a Stampede with the Bigfoot body for $30 dollars more and USB but it comes with the 19 tooth "high speed" optional pinion. Shocks are the same. No wheelie bar included. However there's still the extensive amount of upgrades for this truck that can take it from the 200 dollar rig to a $700 dollar rig easily. Also you said the box says 35 but it actually says 30. And the website says the same. You're right that it was 35 and then a plus sign when it came with the extra pinion but no more. Thanks so much for the comment and questions. Lot of shuffling going on in the Traxxas lineup and this is usually the time of year they do it too. Cheers!

@@redvikinghobbies That's a shame , them good looking , functional lights are gone . Did see Bigfoot has now gone 2s brushless , so perhaps speed pinion is also gone. My mistake on 35 mph was thinking Bandit. Let's hope VXL Stampede remains the same . TY for quick reply , you gotcha a sub.

Hey, how long does it take to charge the included battery on the very first charge?
@redvikinghobbies3 ай бұрын
@SonnyPaints First charge only took me about 3 hours from what I remember. With that battery and charger it's not as precise as a lipo nor is it as volatile so they may come with more charge than you'd expect. Not with this truck but on the Arrma Gorgon, same thing, Nimh battery, it was like an hour and a half. But even after a first run down it charges up pretty quick. Nothing like the balance charge times that say 12 hours for Traxxas. Maybe 5? At most 7? I can't remember one taking that long though.
