The Stampede 2wd definitely has high levels of nostalgia. Most of the parts go back 30 years and more. Both cool trucks

That Gorgon being more stable is just a testament to the difference between rear motor and mid motor.

The stampede and rustler should have had the motor mounted much like 4X4 models without the front drivetrain. You are very much correct

I bought a Stampede back in 1996, it was all the same but the wheels and tires were like the ones on the Gorgon. I remember my Stampede handling more like the Gorgon. The newer tires look good for traction, but they seem stiff with the lower profile sidewall/bigger wheels.

I remember that, they were like the chevron tires. These newer talons have no grip.

In general Traxxas has much better spare part support than Arrma. This is why I prefer (and own) the Stampede 2WD.

Ya dude I'm with ya on that stupid noise from the spectrum esc. They could have something not so childish. But ya these r perfect for the ppl that r looking to get into the hobby and they don't have to spend a lot of money. Great video guys.

Gorgon all day.....especially updraded to a brushless system, the Gorgon is far more fun to drive than the Stampede

Liked both but my XL5 Pede has been completly RPM'ed out & Gorgon $$ will make Pede a VXL once & for all . 2 yrs of brushed is enough.

If you happen to have an entry level 3d printer and some pla filament, there's a really well fit brace you can download and print off thingiverse that fixes the pin problem on the back of the stampede

Arrma gorgon wheelbase is actually 1" longer not .25" like you stated.

I have not used many Spectrum LiPos, I Traxxas 2S LiPo fits just fine.

Gorgon all day I beat the heck out of mines and it takes it. Had traxxas before and their drivetrain is just garbage. Upgraded the Gorgon to brushless and the drivetrain takes it no problem.

The stampede is easier to change the motor in but kills driveshafts every time you want to drive it I'm assuming Arrma does the same thing but I'm not sure not a huge fan of the Gorgon although the tractor tires do look nice on it

@@redbanditracing I have a bunch of Traxxas cars rustler slash nitro 4tec. I've never had armma any thing but I've seen gorgon kits for 140 and I've seen videos of them on brushless handling it no problem that might be my next move

stampede is 10 times better because it has the rear motor. It's as simple as that. completely different to drive, jumps like nothing on earth, you do need to put proline tires on there so it has some weight and you're pretty much have to throttle after every jump to get the rear end to lift but done correctly that lets you scrub. 2wd stampede is the funnest truck ever. I was thinking about a Gorgon for guests or neighborhood kids but I wouldn't let them near my stampede. gorgon looks really extra sturdy stampede is also darn tough if you know how to drive it. you won't be able to run a three cell in either truck without a brushless set up as I'm sure others pointed out. If you go with a lightweight Lipo you'll get the same time as nickel but much better performance. The same size you'll get similar performance and super long run time. 1500 lipo 2s is best bet

The mid motor setup of the gorgon is way better. Better balance and way superior handling. The rear motor on Traxxas makes it way too heavy at the rear. Stampede has Horrible handling and bad mid air characteristics when compared to gorgon.
