Great job. Good detail. Don't worry about too much detail. That is what helps us all. 👍

Oh man I'm sorry I see where someone else asked my question and you answered. Well what I did was use my udder butter and 50k diff oil combined and baby there smooth lol plus white lightning and udder butter outside the center case. Overkill yeah but thats how I do. 👍

If they don't have a compressor they can alternatively use a small brush to dislodge the heavy grime. Cheap toothbrushes work great.
@RcHelpDotCom5 жыл бұрын
I did use a wire brush and WD-40 lol. I just want to prove you can do it without compressed air. Even though I really want to use it and it would make this so much easier lol.

I've got a T Maxx 2.5R still in the box & one bashing brute , RPM replacement, hop up's ! swing arms, shock tower's , body mounts , diff blocks & diff case's & 3.3 maxx drivetrain . With the optidrive ! Outlasted my 3.3 maxx still going .LOL appreciate the rebuild & maintenance vid going to keep one as my shelf queen 😃💯love the T Maxx 2.5R, kinda rare finding one ,still in the box with all the RPM upgrades & the Proline blue Aluminum skids & Willy bar & even Billet Traxxas wheels . Have a supper charger to add to my 2.5R & 3.3 with a turned dual pipe 🤔 Got a ?? Heard it really doesn't add any power & shorten's the lifespan of the engine ( more for looks ) should I add it 200$ kit . But right now have fun with my X.Maxx 8s love hydroplaning across that water 🙌🤙

If you want to add it for the looks, then go ahead. To me though, I will get the power out of the engine with other modifications. More on that in a future video. www.Rc-Help.com

@@RcHelpDotCom That's what I was thinking! Maybe add it to the shelf truck. I didn't due my research ! Before spending the $$ . The kid in me thought "Supper chargers "😃was neat at the time . You know your Rc's ( facts) & the dual pipe causes a big loss in back pressure makes the tune's & starts extremely difficult . Appreciate the info & dig your channel 👍

800 grounded at the moment, expensive MKS tail servo decided to have a melt down. One of the chips on the PCB has started to crumble into the gear set.... due to cost it will take a while to replace
@RcHelpDotCom5 жыл бұрын
@@TheFlyingHippo Ah man, I'm having rudder servo issues on my 600 as well. Mine is the 655 Align servo though. If you were not so far away, I would say send me that servo and I would see if I can replace that chip. Been dabbing in a little component level repairing here lately on PCB's. It's fun. Hope you get it back in the air soon. we need you to post more cheeky videos on the site hahaha.

I just took apart my tmaxx rear apart last night or night before.an I have a comp but I never use it lol an also my bench is full of sand but I live in south west fl so I'm use to sand but I do ha e a big can of grease that's gets used a lot with bearings lol but I never use a comp an I packed the diff with bearing grease but it's not as thick as I want but better then spent grease lol great vid man I work on my tmaxx daily only cus these 2 truck are my go to try everything first with lol

I have thought about trying to make these sealed diffs and treating them like 1/8th scale buggies. They actually use the diff oil to tune the buggy. Center diff is something like 500k to 1M weight oil. 40K or so in the axle diff's. Definitely a lot of fun to play with. Next week, we get to find out what's wrong in the front diff lol.
@rsracing-mb1tr5 жыл бұрын
@@RcHelpDotCom I bet it's bearings in the front if the rear was the way it was then the front is gonna be maybe worse an yes proper dif fluid holds better then bearing grease but the grease works just fine an I. Need the limited slip cus on 3s the axels like to twist buy 2s they are fine 3.3 axels coming soon

Try using a old tooth brush with the spray.

Thanks RcHelpDotCom for the great videos! I have done a bit or research on the Traxxas differential grease. Inside the diff, where the spider gears go (under the gasket) should have a very thick silicone oil of the 30,000 to 100,000 weight, similar to the type found in automotive fan clutches. Traxxas uses the part number 5136X. This is a special oil and one thousand times thicker then the automotive 90 weight differential oil. White grease, or bearing grease is used on the pinion and ring gears. traxxas.com/products/parts/5136X traxxas.com/products/parts/5130 You may find these oils by Associated, Losi and others. They should all be the same type.

If I was racing this truck, I would agree with you. But just bashing it around the back yard, the bearing grease works just fine. Even when I was racing these trucks I still used bearing grease and they did great. Thanks for the comment.
@lazaroenrique114 жыл бұрын
I think that would apply to sealed diffs.... since these tmaxx cases don’t seal the oil inside with orings and gaskets we need to use grease. Not sure if there is a an upgraded sealed diff that can fit the Tmaxx though... Haven’t tried the review sealed case yet.
@wicked2074 жыл бұрын
What about actual diff oil? Like 50k weight. Would you use something like that because the spider gears are more or less sealed where the outer case isn't? Great vids by the way bro, I'm rebuilding my 3.3 with your videos.
@wicked2074 жыл бұрын
Also on my arrma senton I'll use diff oil so figured why not with the tmaxx.....
@RcHelpDotCom4 жыл бұрын
The reason we don't use diff oil in these is because they are not completely sealed diff's. The thicker oil you may get away with, but know as it heats up, it is likely going to leak into the large case.
