I've been into it for 30 years I have had from Tamiya to High end Team Associated RC 10 back in the 90's. Now I am on a Traxxas kick and purchased the Monster Mutt and trx4 Blazer. The first LiPo battery I ever purchased was with the Blazer I will never buy anything but a lipo battery again and they are fantastic compared to NiMH such I better run time and Power

the roof rack, while looking cool only adds top-heavy sprung weight and hinders performance I.e. causing rollovers and damaging that body I can tell you like so much. I know you said you are not a comp crawler I just thought id let you know if that matters to you. also, get rid of the stock steering servo its torque is not even close to what a crawler needs, savox and hi-tech make some really nice ones but they are a little pricy, if you don't want to break the bank there are some decent knockoffs from china that are not to expensive and will give you a big performance boost.

I have the same roof rack in the same spot. What do you think about it why did we put it there when we should have put it in the back cap cause now you can’t “take off“ the back cap.
@jeremytye59405 жыл бұрын
The cap actually doesn't come off. You would have to literally cut it off; the body is all one solid piece. The main reason I put it where I put it, is because I wanted the roof lights to be able to shine down in front of the truck (without the roof blocking) for the best view of a trail at night.
@Unity_RC5 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Tye ya I own one i know it doesn’t come off but on a real bronco it does and the TRX 4 is supposed to look realistic but I get your reasoning and I did the same too but ya

I’m sorry you got talked out of using lipo batteries. I hate how everybody makes it sound like my posts are so difficult to take care of. Taking care of life and was about as easy as taking care of a cactus. Charge it every two or three months and you’ll be fine. Just balance charge it. Much lighter, more power, more run time.
@eriksturesson88415 жыл бұрын
This is so true. I had a mini buggy that I couldn't use LiPo with before I changed a pinion., if I recall Afterwards, even though the voltages were similar, it was an entirely different machine. It's not just about the power but also how it discharges. When a LiPo is depleting, it goes basically from 100 % power down to 0 instantly. Almost. NiCad or NiMH on the other hand, will lose lots of power quite early, meaning it not only have worse battery life, but the quality of the life is worse. If I couldn't have changed to a LiPo, I'd not be running that model anymore. I too think it's overplayed the danger of LiPo:s and I definitely think this is the case for Traxxas. You can't really mess it up if you use their battery and charger combo. There's a price of course in doing so, namely that you're sort of locked in Traxxas' ecosystem. Their batteries are a bit weak as well, at 25C which means that you can't run them on certain RC:s. Still, I do like Traxxas. Arrma is good too but I really love the simplicity of Traxxas :)
