Thanks for your support buddy! I also like your blacked out Defender, looks really cool. I know some lighting kits allow the Amber lights to work as turning indicators, but I didn't know I could do that to mine. Maybe u can try install servo winch on the front bumper servo mount, it's more torque to drag ur trx4 :D
Great video! I'm setting my Wild defender and replaced everything, including the motor (fusion Pro 2300Kv), receiver ( Radio Link R8FG) and replaced the differential servos as well as the shift servo for Reefs 55 mini servos. I have been watching your video to try and setup my servos and my RC6GS V3 controller. How can I setup the end points for the servos? I'm new to the Radio Link system and never had setup endpoints before and I already ripped one of my differential cables because I didn't start the car without the servo horns disconnected. Live and learn. Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

@@perohijo thanks buddy, glad you like the video and find it useful. I never replace the differential or gear shift servos, so unfortunately I haven't figured out the end points for them, but someone must have posted a video on KZbin explaining how to set them. I have no issue with the 3 micro servo, they are still working fine as we speak. I have however purchased the official Traxxas replacement differential cables just in case they break, but so far I'm still using the one that came with the TRX-4 Defender. The front and rear differential cables are of different length, so make sure you get the right one for the correct end. If I come across a video teaching how to set the end points, I will post another reply below this message. 😊👍🏻

I use a FlySky GT3B with hacked software, its now 8 channels, all buttons are programmable, i run lights on one channel, front servo winch on another, rear servo winch on another, i also have the Hobbywing Fusion 1800kv brushless motor in my TRX4, my radio gear is less than half the price of a RC6GS, has two more channels and better battery life. ST Visual Programmer software is free, a few £ or $ for the usb connector, 5 mins of work and you have a cheap reliable 8ch set up.

Hello, thanks for tuning in. Yes, you just need to plug the two micro servos into the receiver and it should work right away. Thanks for tuning in. I did wonder if I could use channel 3 dial to control the winch before as it could mean I do not have to use the little remote control fob (one with A&B button), however, I think channel 3 might be fixed to activate the AVC, I don't know how to disable it as crawler doesn't go that fast to require AVC assist. Perhaps the solution might be using a different receiver which also provide 6 to 7 channel but without the AVC function. 😊👍🏼

@jjshobbypower90913 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian, if you have the Gen 8 Axe, then the FlySky radio is already really capable, some people prefer that over the RadioLink RC6GS V2. Your RedCat Axe should already come with the HobbyWing Axe 540 motor which support the slow steady crawl. The one I have installed in my TRX-4 Defender is a HobbyWing Fusion 2in1 motor, it has two versions - 1800kv or 1200kv. The motor is 540 spec but it has a ESC built in to the back of the motor, hence the overall length is 550. Hello! Just want to check you have the same set of numbers as shown at 13mins 00sec in the video? It should work if you follow those numbers according to the channels. Normally, people have issues setting the cruise control only as it requires installing an update on the software for the remote comptroller, but I don't recall setting the high and low speed would require the software update. I know exactly what you mean by the 2nd speed only come on when the button is pressed, as soon as you let go of the button it would go back to low speed. Definitely it is something to do with the figure setting for the 2 speed engagement. Try and copy the exact figures in the video at 13mins00sec and it should work. Let me know how you get on. 👍🏼🤞🏼

Does the receiver have a built in Gyro? How do you get the auto steering to work as far as hardware goes?
@jjshobbypower90912 жыл бұрын
Hi there, yes, the receiver has built in gyro. The Fusion motor and the servo are plugged into the receiver, so the receiver would send signal to servo to counter steer. It is mainly for fast moving vehicles like a buggy, or track cars, on a crawler I don't think it is that useful, unless you put on a 3S battery to make it go faster, but honestly, you don't really need it, maybe when you are down hilling it might helps a little bit when your rig starts to slide forward and sideway. 😊👍🏼
