Traxxas TRX-4 How Waterproof is it?

Yep. They didn't replace the receiver when it got wet. But they did replace the locker servo that failed 🤷🏽‍♂️ Brand new TRX6.

Traxxas recommend constantly servicing for water proofness.You can read in the owners manual.Oil the motor plain bearing after any ride.

I got a traxxas bigfoot, an the way i made my receiver waterproof as can be, i put some silicone grease on a qtip, and rubbed the rubber wire in grease, and the wires going into the receiver box, ive had mine for half a year now, not one drop of water in the box, an i get the truck wet pretty much everyday i can lmao

Thanks for showing how to get to the bearing I’m a twelve year old boy wanting to get into that stuff I’ve never had a crawler and I like the trx4 and im wondering since I don’t want to mess it up is there anyway I can maintain it because I don’t know a lot about the parts and how to replace them so is there any video where it shows all the parts in the traxxas trx4. I’m gonna get the Bronco because me and my dad love it and it really looks nice. So if anyone has tips please tell me

How do you prevent the screws from rusting? I washed mine after a particularly muddy session and i blew dry it with a hair dryer as best as I could, but there were still bits of rust on the screws after.

The reciver box should be fine if it gets water in it because the reciver is fully coated in a epoxy

I've had my trx4 under water multiple times and nothing got in the receiver box maybe the box wasn't as tight as it could be

My electronics in my trx4 defender got fried the first time it went near water. Not even close to being water proof. Worst electronics ever in an over priced RC vehicle ever. Yeah I'm filthy with Traxxas. A rubber balloon water proofs the electrics.
