Hey thanks for the video! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts after running them. Out of the box I thought the stock shocks were pretty bad, but after replacing the oil and shimming I’ve been happy with them. Same thing happened with one of my rear axles last week. To their credit, spent about 5 mins talking to Traxxas chat and they had a replacement set to my door in 3 days. Still decided to pick up a hardened steel set from my LHS though.

The nylon locking feature on the nut is designed to face OUT and not IN. It will thread onto the axle shaft much easier when installed in the proper direction and still work as designed.

locknuts has the nylon facing out. thats why you are having a hard time starting that little guy. thanks for the oiling demonstration.

I was planning on getting a set of those in the future. Thanks for the tip.

I mounted the hexes hub to the truck 1st, then I mounted the 2 wheels halves to the hex on the truck.. my rc4wd wheels only have 6 screws in the center that mount to the hub so it wasn't too hard and it kept the scale look without having to add washers

Nice vid. I've been thinkin of gettin those shocks for my 4m Bronco. I'm running 62mm injora all terrain tires and a little extra clearance would be nice. I have those same wheels on mine and those screws in the center are a pain but I like how much kow down weight it added.

I went with the 53mm to keep a somewhat scale look and go with the 'small' tires (Same as stock size). If your planning on running 62mm I think you'll want larger shocks then the 53's.

I may try the 59mm
