Traxxas UDR - NOT CENTERING - Steering upgrade

I have added all the same alloy parts as yourself plus a few extra as I have bent or broken on the way. And I have found handling has improved greatly and now have had no breakages since but have ordered a new spool from Hot Racing as I have worn out two sets of plastic spacers and the replacement does away with the need to have these plastic never sure why they went this route who knows. I have a question as I am seeing a lot of the rear tyres including my own wearing on the inside edge of the tyres, and as the camber and toe are set at zero from the factory how is it that they wear this way, and is this your first set of tyres, I am on my second set plus an all new set of six for my Vitavon billet alloy beadlock wheels, still looking for decent foam inserts as the stock are a bit weak.

This is actually still my first set of tires but, I run mostly on loose dirt. As far as the tire wear goes I think that inner tread wearing out first seems to be inherent with the Trophy Truck style suspension, my axial yeti Trophy Truck wears it's rear tires in the same way. Btw the plastic spacers that are wearing out in your car, where exactly are they ? do you mean inside the Planetary gear reduction or inside the rear axle where the spool is?

They are the spool parts that go over the actual spool then the bearings go over them then the bearings go over these and the two halves of the casing bolt together. Part numbers 8590 spool spacers left/right 2.5x8 CS (4). These were being worn by the ingress of sand in the plastic housing but now I do not get any with the alloy axle housing.@@ocularcavity8412

@@Nickwillfixit oh okay I don't drive mine in that sand when I was I child this was back in the 90's the first 4wd RC was a $399 Radio shack Road Phantom and I drove it in the sand and RUINED the bushings which broke my heart since it was discontinued, so I am always hesitant to drive my RC'S in the sand (even though I can fix my hobby grade RC's) OLD scars lol. Oh BTW how hot dies your center Trans housing get when running the truck hard I am about to release a Video soon talking about this a bit

@@ocularcavity8412I have not measured it since going over to the alloy centre diff/transmission, I have also swapped out the stock motor mount for an alloy one so all the diff/transmission housing's and rear axle are alloy. Have you had any shock leaks yet. And are you still running the stock front shafts, I have gone over to Hot Racing one's and the Super Shafty E-Revo rear centre and Hot Racing front centre drive shaft. Maybe getting the MIP UDR one for the rear. Have you seen the TRAXXAS front centre it is a dogbone and cups, go figure.

@@Nickwillfixit yeah my shocks leaked pretty bad I when on Ali express and bought some aluminum bottom caps with O-Rings and the help a bit but I am not sure how much next time I take it apart will check the shocks to see how much I have lost, I will probably also buy the hot racing front Drive shaft and MIP rear driveshaft, and also yeah I am still running the stock shock shafts so far so good, no bends yet
