Without using the Traxxas link your Lazer temps are irrelevant. I accidentally overheated my X-Maxx and had to replace the motor. It was my fault I wasn't watching the temp gauge enough and kept my phone in my pocket. Now I have the phone mount on my controller. I monitor temps and I set up a temp warning so I know when to give it a break. The temp sensor is in the heat sink. If you do this test again with the link module your temps will be accurate.

They are relevant as a like for like comparison, granted the temp of the motor is higher as we are not measuring the motor can as it is not visible to the beam.
