What does the xmaxx ultimate reference as standard xmaxx parts ? You click it and it sends you to standard xmaxx parts ? Hence standard xmaxx features that all xmaxx’s come with! 50mph spur included 💯if Traxxas wants this not to be included they must remove the standard feature off the ultimate xmaxx’s list if you click standard features that are included in the ultimate it takes you to the base list 🤷🏻‍♂️as this was explained to traxxas I’m sure soon this link will go away 💯

Under the ultimate version it says (sold separately). We all make mistakes but why try to take it further and further with nonsense comments? Also the noise difference between the two are because the ultimate comes with hardened gears.

I’m showing what Traxxas has implied as they implied under standard parts plus upgraded parts the standard link will be going away under the ultimate xmaxx as this was what was described to traxxas today in my phone call to imply you get standard parts with the ultimate would be a false statement and they agreed so I’m sure this standard link will be correct soon but as far as now it’s still there implying it’s included 💯

My X-Maxx is 2 years old but when it was about a year old it did the same exact thing as yours I could not get it to stop making that tight mesh noise and the only thing that worked was I took the pins out and spaced it further away because one side kept getting tight when the other side was messed right so I kind of think it's the spur gear is not round or something like that I don't know

Hate to say it but Earl is incorrect. The website says the optional speed gear is sold separately. Both the ultimate XRT & ultimate Xmaxx list the optional gearing is sold separately.

In my eyes that’s wrong don’t advertise your giving everything in a standard xmaxx, the first link you can click on to find out what that includes.then say not included somewhere else ? @RoostedFilms yes as they understood this as well the standard gear is 18.00 x 2 and the steel gear x 1 is 29.00 so to take $36.00 and replace it with $29.00 is not an upgrade and I believe traxxas understood this as well. I feel like I said in the video read everything don’t accept what your given , call and ask and traxxas always been fare in customer support 💯my daughter v1 maxx broke 2 wheels after a week traxxas told me wheels have no warranty back then but said they will replace them as they felt the time was to short for them to crack, and that why I like traxxas as a brand! Never hurt to call and ask if they would have told me no im wrong I would have posted that as well 💯

Yes I even called to find out about the ultimate before I purchased one as well just to make sure what upgrades it had and when certain parts where released for the xmaxx, always best to call and ask then to just assume in my eyes I’m old school get information from the horses mouth 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yes it does but traxxas has done that before even the XRT release didn’t do the 70MPH or 60mph it needed the purchase of more gears to achieve it as it had a disclaimer in the owners manual people have had an issue with this for years with traxxas and arrmas rc have always included the speed gears in the bag traxxas seemed to do it with the xmaxx and xo1 only and they been adding gears to select models for the last few year

Mistakes happen. Sam from Traxxas seemed to be helpful. That’s what I like so much on Traxxas. Just calling them by phone if you have any problems at all. 👍👍

I bought both the XRT and Xmax Ultimate and when I called them they told me that the gears being included was a typo... When I said the website said the same thing they immediately changed the website and didn't give me the gears....

Yeah just went through the same. Contacted them. Told them the manual says the optional gearing is included but I did not receive it, was told it was a mistake in the manual. I asked how i am supposed to reach the speed of 60+ mph as printed on the box. He said you need the optional gearing. Asked why that’s printed on the box if it’s not included. Told him it was false advertising but you want to make the customer pay for your mistake. He asked if there was anything else I needed help with. My first negative experience with traxxas……

I’m having problems with my new XRT Ultimate. I have tried it twice and the gears have broken twice. Have not even been able to go through a full battery with it. It just keeps breaking.

I bought XRT ultimate, it also lists in owners manual that optional gearing is included parts. I emailed Traxxas, they say it was a mistake. Fine print on box states “sold separately”. Every x-truck I’ve ever bought came with optional gears. I spend half again more for upsell, and Traxxas skimps on gearing. No impressed.

That is my one and only big complaint on the Xmaxx, a motor mount should not allow the motor to move. Little pins are a great idea for those who dont jump or do any hard driving, but for most we arnt buying an xmaxx to putts around in a parking lot.

Into chips off?) something is chipping when you take the wheel off doesn’t seem normal at all anodizing normally won’t chip I’d call traxxas and explain the issue they should send a new part anodizing a dye and can’t chip 🤷🏻‍♂️

I must say the customer service at Traxxas is unmatched by other companies. I’ve always gotten the warranty parts with a simple call. Kinda seems like the speed spur may be removed from the list on the ultimate soon though. It’s gonna cost them a lot sending them out free

Make sure he’s keeping them at storage voltage when the batteries are not being used for any period of time. If Traxxas won’t replace them they’ll definitely let him trade them in for a good discount on new ones like 50% I believe

So will it really do 50? Seems some brands are very optimistic with speed claims. I personally only know of one brand that consistently meets or exceeds speed claims with only the stated required mods. That * usually means a whole lot more. Also if the gear isn't included what's the point of it all? Any car can achieve any speed with proper mods and the right conditions. Hell, my SCX6 can go 500 plus mph* *On an airplane...

Grease is for the pinion and gear that needs grease and you can use grease inside a diff if you want it fully open as some manufacturers do this Arrma has done this as well as traxxas 👍

i just plop a big blob motor grease but alot more in the gear well messy but it cover the spur gear when it spins because it's a pool of it to me the sound of it was ok but hopefully it's just the diff i got to do my full tear down soon to on make sure on ball bearings am sure WD-40 will tick it over till my next run.. epic works like you said you don't have to chase them up for it but atleast your willing to an like for that commenter i guess an angry user it wouldn't shock me if they might of insulted the customer support hence the no

It could be just mine as you can hear in the video the steering bellcrank bearing are all dry and squeaky had one rear wheel bearing freeze up I had to replace now I’m greasing all the bearing as popping them open there dry inside already 👍

The bearing you are questioning is for the support of the servo. There is one in all XMaxx. Nothing new.

By your logic the ultimate should have all plastic parts that are now aluminum as well. As there $18.00 each x 2 because it list both = $36.00 but the ultimate has the steel upgrade that $28.00 for 1 🤔 how is this an upgrade when the web site says we get everything a standard xmaxx get plus more upgrades? They agreed and sent the gears 👌
