I'm 27 I feel like I've probably lived over half my life already always felt I probably wouldn't make it to 40 it's not my fault we're born with it but someone can be reckless and catch HIV and get medicine that lets them live long and normal lives. Know what the difference is between research in HIV/AIDS and sickle cell? 1 affects blacks and whites alike in this country the other affects almost exclusively blacks(of course it's not 100% blacks but sickle cell is predominantly a black disease) which 1 would be most likely to get tons of rich folks and middle class to donate time/money to? I've even had my white doctor's say that to some degree.
