@@vanzantihero87 wiseman is pretty bad. I dont think he would ever have the hands that tjd has, and wiseman lacks awareness on the floor. I saw a video of him playing where a rebound literally hit him on the shoulder and he was looking around for the ball. (lack of awareness)

@@abprepboy33 Wiseman doesn’t seem to have the mentality to be a big asset in the NbA. Guy just has no motor, and no attention span. No matter how athletic and, you have to read and react and move smartly in 2023 NBA defense or the other team will get a high quality scoring opportunity every time down the court. He can put up numbers by grabbing some boards and getting garbage points, but the opponents will pick on Wiseman in actions every time down the court. When he rested 1.5 seasons, he should have been studying, but maybe he’s just not able to figure this stuff out.

Loon is a warrior, that being said, I think the coaching staff need to address the fact that you want a steady hand in critical games, and really most games in the regular season should be played by the young guys of the team, the coaching needs to put the vets in when its absolutely necessary, that lethal starting five last season needs a break and not carry too much of the offensive and defensive load, the team of CP3 and the young guys can and should start most nights that they play giving the vets a lot more time to rest and heal up

@@lucky889s9 1) looney is 27. Not sure anybody would consider that past his prime. 2) Looney's hop has always been super low having said that, it appears looney is getting more clumbsy. For example.... for a guy who doesnt get off the ground on his inside shots- he winds up falling to the ground and rolling around on a very high percentage of shots. Then he is out of the play on the defensive side of the ball too.

Agreed, trayce might not be a super star talent. But he plays within his game and he makes an effort to only do things he's good at doing. Its not like a perimeter player who just got really hot one night. There is o reason to believe that tjd cant give productive minutes on a consistent basis. It also helps that his skill set is something the warriors rotation is lacking. The opposing team has to adjust when he is on the floor.... and that adjustment often means making a choice between closing out hard on shooters or dropping back protecting the rim. Most teams can recover on Looney. I feel like kuminga can do it to some degree but he doesnt think the same way tjd does.

TJD needs to start and play most of the game. They can rest him in the 4th and make sure he closes out all the games. His play is vastly superior to Looney. It's not even close. He's much quicker than Looney, better scoring threat inside, will score on rebounds, better rebounder, shot blocker, better at pick n roll, overall a much quicker, smoother, more athletic center. He matches well with Kuminga. Some of the people commenting don't get it. They say TJD should be put into the rotation. No, he should start and play most of the game. He's a future all-star.

people keep forgetting how good looney is, that being said he should not be playing heavy minutes in regular season games, you want him fresh after the regular season grind. That means more minutes to round out the needed experience of TJD since he operates exclusively in the paint, heck you can even have him play with Saric since Saric prefers to shoot outside on the pick n pop plays with CP3 leaving TJD to do what he does best, rebound the ball and provide defensive presence in the box.

When Clay & Wigs were on their mark there wasn't as much pressure on Looney. He got his rebounds, set his screens, scored a few shots. He worked hard & was well liked & a great team mate. He's not a spark tho. He's a steady dependable guy, but not all that athletic, with no hops at all. I love that guy, but right now the Warriors need more from their center to make up for the inconsistencies elsewhere. Trace is also a very smart intuitive player. He's always where he needs to be & has the length, stretch, drive & speed to out hussel a Lotta bigs. The Dubs bench is loaded with spark & athleticism that they sorely needed. When TJD, Kuminga, Podziemski are out there, they create come backs. If the Dubbs were to have any chance in the play offs, their gonna have to give these guys more time.

Looney really suffered from Wiggins shooting so badly. So did Klay. The Looney Dray lineup relies on 2 transcendent and 1 very good shooter, with 2 non shooters. With Wiggins no longer a decent shooter, the whole lineup sucks at offense. Because defenses can just bum rush Steph and live with 4 on 3 with only Klay as a real shooting threat.

Looney does not realize that he has to contribute points also to the team. How many times have I watched him where he is free to shoot within 5 to 10 feet away but he doesn't have the confidence to make a shot. All he does is screen and yes he rebounds too but this can be done by other centers as well. When Warriors is on the offensive, the opposing team does not even guard Looney because they know that he hardly shoots.

It's not even a question. Kerr has to have rocks in his head if he can't see the value of simple rim protection on defence and being a vertical spacer and genuine roller on offense. Loon has been a dawg over the years but the guy is slow AF and has no athleticism whatsoever. His rebounding has been elite but frankly that is about all he brings to the table these days along with setting screens. His finishing ability around the rim briefly got a little better but has regressed and putting him and Dray on the court is just asking to lose big time at this point. Thanks Loon for the service but at most he should be a backup center in a properly established second unit where his limitations can be more easily accounted for.

People who think that it would have made sense to bench guys who are vets who got you a championship 2 years ago, as soon as rookies appear to be playing well or better, have never coached anything meaningful in their life. Lots of times, young guys play well early because they’re not on the scouting report and playing against the other bench. Plus it’s terrible for team chemistry if starters have to look over their shoulder whenever they have a shooting slump. It’s not about squeezing every possible win and slotting players in and out like machine parts. It’s maintaining and improving a team of humans.
