Watched this movie today and was honestly surprised at how good it was. Sure, some of the stuff doesn't make sense and there are a lot of unexplained things but if you take it as the over the top horror slasher that it is, it's a lot of fun. I really liked the unique ideas and camera shots that the movie has, amidst the boring landfill of "possession/exorcism/demonic entity" horror movies these days. Video was fire as well 🔥

I legit liked this movie. It was a wild ride. Unfortunately, there were zero "twists" in that, we all knew what was coming. Showing the socks in the beginning as well as being so dodgy with the camera make it easy to know the whole twist right from the very start. Didn't matter tho. Great movie. I hope you do the rest of the VHS movies so I don't have to subject myself to them lol

Watched this with my friends on discord and every one of us loved it for how absurd it was and how the twist and build up is handled. I don't get why critics and other people panned this movie so much and expected a conjuring style horror when the director literally said it is not like those and should be treated as a separate work in and of itself (for the record, I didn't know he said this at the time, regardless, still loved the movie the way it is.) I wish more over the top and out of the box horror like this would come out that's very reminiscent of retro horror, but with modern technology for effects and all involved.
