Making Angel look like a great ump. In 2 seconds he made 2 terrible calls. He called a ball a strike, then tried to look like a cool and badass ump with his over-the-top, lollygagging preformance of ringing up the batter on a strikeout, instead of actually doing his job. Which incidently entailed the minor detail of paying attention to the game while the ball is in play. He clearly has an ego problem. He completely misses the play at the plate and instead of appealing to the other umpires, he decided his ego was the only call that mattered.

the good old umpire saying. “when in doubt call him out.”
@XXelpollodiabloXX12 күн бұрын
This is why they teach us to step backwards if we do a ring up with runners on. We still have to keep eyes forward. If our strike mechanic is to point (vs a hammer), they encourage us not to turn our head if there are runners, lest we miss something like batter interference on a stolen base attempt. Umpiring is hard. There are a lot of moving parts to keep track of on any one play.

@@Mavrick121 that makes sense. I knew they did something but I don’t follow baseball too closely.
