Contacted the PAS and completed the form on my seventh listed treasure case, a possible Medieval Purse Spill. Three medieval hammered silver coins. An Edward ii Penny, Canterbury Mint. An Edward iii Penny, York Mint. A lovely Edward iii Pre-treaty Groat, London Mint.

Yes, these coins are pretty old, would estimate the purse as dropped in the 1330's. Best wishes to you out there.

Hi Chris. If you find items that could be classed as treasure you have 14 days to declare them. Then it is down to the museums if they want them. Cases can take years and years to work through. I know detectorists waiting four years. Not a great system. Best wishes out there.
