I had to give them away when I grew up (you know the story and how it goes 😃) and now in adult age I wanted them back. I'm almost positive your baby is a 1983 U baby. The U stands for Unsigned. It's the first year that they did the stamped kids. 1982 kids were still handsigned. ❤ 😊 my comments kind of late so you might of done more research but just thought I'd share. What a wonderful bunch of new friends ❤I’m with Colleen with the soft cabbie being her fav , Our family goes to 400 Lakewood antique market every year around Easter ( tradition) and I kept seeing this one cabbie ( bald boy ) but the price was ridiculous, he was dirt no cloths of diaper ! But finally after 4 years my heart broke that he was still there so adopted him and 2 brothers ( both curly dark brown hair / Brown eyes , so they enjoyed watching this video with me ❤

What an awesome lot of dolls! I had a visceral reaction to seeing the cloth body cabbage Patch girl. She's pretty perfect huh? I think I had a knockoff who was cute but I think she was much smaller. I know what you mean with certain dolls stinking. I have around 6 AG sized Alexander dolls -from different sources and not only are all their legs dangling and heads lolling, but they smell like human musk, for lack of a more appropriate term! It's vile! I'm not giving up on them though. Last question, have you heard of Monchichi dolls? They coexisted with CBKs and I remember them being sort of popular. I think they were monkeys? Or marsupials? I don't know. They had faces that resemble cabbie's but troll like brown fur. 😂 Your Flickr photos are very helpful btw.

I had some moldy all plastic dolls that smelled for a few years after I cleaned them. So it can take a while for bad odors to fully dissipate. I have heard of the Monchichi dolls before--they are cute in a weird sort of way!
