Years back i was in contact with 2 brothers who lived in Litchfield Park whom authored a book on this area. I will have to see if i still have it as there are stones out there with some purported spanish symbols and a picture of a house pecked into a rock. I can tell you the eldest brother owned one of the Kino silver bars and i was lucky enough to see a picture in the general area of a stone that appears to be a snake with its mouth open and a picture of to shriviled pokes that were found in the area as well. One was red and one was blue if i remember correctly. One had garnets still in it.

I have a picture of this map rock you speak of. There are numbers on it as well as a drawing of a cabin. There is gold buried out there.
@randomtangents5204 Жыл бұрын
@@magprob It is some tough country and where the road that used to be quite used and open on the east side of the mountains is now all on reservation land so that limits a lot of exploration around that area. I would love to see the picture of the map rock you speak of. You can send it to me at greghawklives@gmail.com Thanks for you information! Cheers, Greg Hawk

Can you tell me when you were there? I was there about 5 years ago and couldn't find the shaft or else it had filled in. I came upon it not knowing about it and was totally surprised and thought it was a Indian ruin. Then found a jar inside with a log sheet in it! Wow what a day!
@randomtangents52042 жыл бұрын
I took this video about 18 months ago. The shaft I took a shot of was about 200 feet across the wash where there are many big rocks. There was quite a bit of digging on that side of the wash and some of the rocks showed green on them most likely copper. Glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers, Greg Hawk

Well, let me tell you a secret! John D.Mitchell and Milton Franklin Rose were real close. So close they were the same person. How do I find out? Tapes sent between two treasure hunters from the 80s. Also pictures confirmed it. Milton Franklin Rose died on July 29, 1985, in Chandler, Arizona
@randomtangents52042 жыл бұрын
Eric, I did research Milton Rose and saw his obituary. I also know that John D. Mitchell was a real-life person also. The old guy who told me many of these stories was a personal friend of John Mitchell and they camped out together and did a little mining together. One story I read was the Mitchell and Rose were treasure hunting south of Tucson and found a cache of gold and silver bars. Who really knows the truth to many of these stories though? Thanks for the input! Cheers, Greg Hawk
@koltoncrane30992 жыл бұрын
Ya it’s a shame they don’t allow mining in wilderness or recreational areas. Recreational areas is basically Wilderness but with a road to sucker in city folk. You can’t even go metal detecting I was shocked when I read that for a recreational area. Metal detecting is recreational. I know a guy that does draft horse competitions at the fair. Hell take a wagon and his horses and actually go up in a wilderness area tk hunt in the fall. It’s horse powered so maybe it’s legal.

The wide-open country we once knew is being swallowed up with rules, regulations, fences and gates. It is a little disheartening at times when you wish to go back to an area that was once wide open. Cheers, Greg Hawk
