Oh my god yes! It is absolutely delicious on powerful Blue mages are in treasure maps-can solo things pretty easy. Basically got BLU solely for maps because I want all the treasure!

WAR+BLU combo is how my friend and I have been duo-ing Gazelleskin maps to farm up a huge pile of thief maps. It's absolutely incredible. Most of the mobs even inside the map are susceptible to Perpetual Ray so you can stun most of their mechanics. I just swap from BLU to WHM for the final invocation of the roulette because the final boss is always immune to stun and we need the healing.

BLU is a better pick for solo map dungeons (80 and below tiers currently.) You can vibe check the overworld mobs and any normal adds that spawn in the roulette dungeon and with the right tank/healer set-up you get to run Basic Instinct to remove the 40% damage drop from Mighty Guard while doubling damage and healing. It's what a friend of mine does for the achievements.

that's definitely true until lvl80 for now, but it still might be a bit tough even on tank mimic as some bosses do hit hard in shb maps, i like going warrior because even if it takes long you can manage to never die with a little cooldown management and potions. Big brain would be to also just bring a BLU in a party for easier time when you don't have many people lol

Blue mage healer with gobskin pom heal when you know tb is coming out makes shb maps easy mode, hell sage can solo 90 khumb maps I do it all the time when I'm bored, tried Ophio ones but the income just isn't worth the time investment and it's a stress fest xD

Ah, treasure maps. Shout out to my one friend who come into the dungeon as the only healer in a 3-man party, died on floor 2, and then had to lie dead on the floor for like 10 minutes while we got all the way to the deepest chamber and fully completed the dungeon without them. They got far enough away that they de-loaded for us and didn't get to roll on all of the loot.

It triggers a huge cooldown but you can actually class swap inside treasure dungeons to rez someone who died.

I have fond memories with treasure maps because the best runs I had were either random and wholesome groups at 3 am or via twitch streams. The Mad Baby here got me my Deep Canal Dweller and now that I'm back on NA servers I'll try to join them whenever I can! It's always a chill fun time, making money, taking lives.

There's an achievement and title that I desperately want from level 70 maps - Invoker of Gods. Have to clear the roulette map dungeon 20 times and I'm currently sitting at 3. It's pretty difficult to find people for, but your video makes me want to learn how to solo with BLU because I think that's the only way I'll end up getting it done.

ive been soloing level 60 treasure maps for a while, i just gather one a day and run em when i have 3 or 5. last month, i got two full clears in back to back runs! up to 10/20 full clears of the aquapolis

Been doing a bunch of treasure maps solo recently, for a few weeks now. Can easily solo the trash as a whm using nearly exclusively afflatus heals and blood lily bombing the shit out of them (and starting out with a bomb by taking a couple minutes to fill up on one on local trash first), as well as keeping the dots on everything while Featherbrain pecks at them. Can't really do it as warrior since their single target damage kinda sucks when you get only 2 guys left, unless I'm doing something wrong. The amount of stuff I've gotten is absolutely nuts. It's nice seeing every couple hours something else selling for 90k+, and especially nice when it's something like a minion worth a few hundred thousand. Finally completed the level 100 party map dungeon solo for the first time last night cuz I couldn't seem to beat the last door boss, but the rest is a joke on warrior with few exceptions. I've also gone from a handful of +54 crit, DH and det materia to 50+ a piece since the maps vomit out the crystal currency for them like candy. When the next raid tier comes out, maybe I'll flood the market haha.

Status update: Lalachievements score 16,470. Not much to report. I finished the EW FSH splendorous tool, and so picked up Vrandtastic: Lodestar Fishing Rod, because the gatherers require very little actual investment to finish beyond time. I've started spending excess scrip to buy the mats that I'll eventually need for the last two crafter steps, but I don't expect that to go anywhere any time soon. And that's basically it. I did end up fully pentamelding crafter and gatherer gear, for reasons. Spent about a million blue cowries on materia. Only other thing I've been working on is getting more involved in finishing ARR relics, and that's not for achievements since SE couldn't be assed, it's just so I can clear out all the inventory slots that mats are taking up in my inventory. I have about 2/3 of the alexandrite I need for materia step, and all of the mats I need for quest step, but I still have to finish book step on 4 jobs, so I've resumed working on that, trying to do one book a day to keep from burning out on it again. Nothing else to report.

You can solo the treasure dungeons quite effectively with Blue mage. It doesn't take forever, but you do need to pay attention because the tankbusters and stack markers do hurt a LOT. I grinded out the Invoker of Gods title mostly via Solo bluemage, and that was before we got the lv 80 stuff.

If your desk is bumping into your mic stand, you might get some kind of foam or padding and wrap it around the mic stand where the desk hits it. Should reduce the noise.

I used to have a LOT of luck with maps in Stormblood. ShB and EW just none. Ever. My theory is that once you hit 100 mil gil you get nothing and all rewards go to your other partymembers. I don't have to get something all the time but once in a while would be fun, so I just dropped doing maps.😢

Next time you do a map video, consider zooming in on the glam preview. A picture is worth a thousand words, "that's why it's so expensive, that looks sick!" ...I'm a 90's kid, apparently I'm old now for saying "sick" instead of "fire". Also, you're going to trigger all the map bots getting your viewers to rush like that. With a bit more planing, you could give people a chance to farm using their allowances. You could even make a stream event out of it, like "come to this spot at the bottom of the ruby sea right now and get your daily map, idiots" lol

The gap in map prices is crazy. Most maps sell up to 10-15k on Elemental. At most, I've seen 25k-30k for Boarskin but that's it.

My straight up honest answer; it depends. You can make 50 million in a night by making the latest glamour items, or winning a rare mount, but sometimes RNG hates you and all you get is materia. I do think you should try, because it's really fun to do map nights with friends, and if you never enter a dungeon you don't even have the chance to get the drops.
