TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS: VESSELS OF INTIMACY
“that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭11‬:‭32‬ ‭KJV‬‬
* THE END TIME REVIVAL WILL NOT REST ON THE SHOULDERS OF THOSE WHO KNOW ABOUT GOD BUT THOSE WHO KNOW GOD - Dan. 11:32
* It's time to move from having Revelation about the acts of God to a Revelation about the person of God.
* We must move from knowing God theoretically to knowing God Experientially.
* Activity was never meant to Replace Intimacy.
* Our presence in church never replaces His Presence in our lives - Exo. 33:14
1. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and not walk in Holiness - 1 Pet. 1:15-17
2. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and Doubt Him - Heb. 11:6
3. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and Disobey Him -1 John 2:3. You will always desire to do His Will - Psa. 40:7
4. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and not Love others - 1 John 4:8
5. You cannot truly be intimate with Him, and your Character won't reflect it -Jh. 16:3
6. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and not have a desire for His Presence that pushes you to pray and study the Word - Ps. 63:1-3. Intimacy will make you tremble at His Word - Isa. 66:2
7. You cannot truly be intimate with Him and not walk in growing dimensions of His power - Phil. 3:10
8. You cannot truly know Him and not be at peace during the storms of Life - Rom. 8:28
9. You cannot truly know Him, and your wisdom does not amaze and amuse the people that hear you as Jesus did - Matt. 13:54
* Knowing God is not a Destination but a journey -2 Pet. 3:18
* However, knowing God requires the following.
1. SPEND TIME IN HIS PRESENCE (KNOWING HIM)
- Spend time being Still - Ps. 46:10
- Spend time in Worship (until you become a Worshipper) -Jh. 4:23-24
- Spend time in Prayers (until you become an Intercessor) -Eze. 22:30
- Spend time in the Word (until you become a Word Smith) - 2 Tim. 2:15
- Spend time Waiting (until your Life is properly aligned to His Will) - Is. 40:32/ Acts 13:2
2. SPEND TIME WALKING WITH HIM (PROVING HIM) - Gen. 3:24/Gen. 17:1
- Another major part of knowing God is proving Him - Mal. 3:10
- Walking with God is practicalizing your encounters from the Presence.
- This is when Faith comes in - Heb. 2:14/ Heb. 10:38
- God is not pleased when we don't put to test our intimate moments to the test in the open - Heb. 11:6
- This is the Journey of Faith.
- Intimacy, to a Large Extent, takes TIME and not just Intention.
- The Intention is not Enough. It requires Dedication.
* Get on a more intentional journey in knowing Him by being more intentional about the time you spend with Him in His presence and the time you spend time walking with Him.
