That hunk of metal looked like a small hand socket wrench, for both 3/8 and 1/4 drive sides. Nice find on that ring. Thanks for another great adventure.

I'd be happy pulling coins out of that spot all day long. I got under one of the piers after a hurricane a few years back and spent 3 hours on clad coins, keys, butter knives and forks (there is a restaurant above on the pier) and some cheap bling jewelry. Was my best clad day ever with $38.58 in coins. Yeah, you need to hit that spot again for sure. There's more rings to be found.

Austin: "A recent number of deaths associated with people that use hobby hand held metal detectors and do not practise wearing gloves can result in Roundworm Infections and death. This usually happens when soil, sand, or plants that have been contaminated with infected animal feces cling to the exposed skin and fingers are accidentally put in the mouth and ingested or by rubbing their eyes. Hookworm infections happen when larvae penetrate the skin. This can also occur in warm beach areas as well from contaminated soil or sand with bare feet.Jan 25, 2024" Wear gloves!!! OttawaMarc 🇨🇦🇨🇦

So tell me, how did you suppose all those coins (and the token) got there in that one small area? When the tide is up and that little rocky area is more submerged, traditionally while out for a late afternoon or evening stroll, people give their kids pennies or (occasionally a larger denomination) to throw in, and they are encouraged to, "make a wish" (yes, like the proverbial, 'wishing well' of fairy tales and childhood lore), So essentially what you are doing in retrieving all those coins is negating numerous sweet and innocent wishes made in a spirit of childish sentimentality and magical imaginations. To you it's just another low value, relatively meaningless corroded coin, to the child who threw it in it is imbued with their heartfelt hopes, dreams and longing. Happy hunting!
@bellablitzi10 ай бұрын
A 'wish' for one, a 'treasure' for another. Nothing negates the intention. Keep finding those coins @Treasure Outdoors!
