Help good Dr... I have a ingestion on my head eyelashes eyebrows underarm It is eating my hair Way I am loosing so much hair it is so itchy and keeps me awake at night ..I have tried all home remedies nothing is working ...Can you please tell us where we can get these products... If you respond to viers, I'd like to ask if one can possibly get demodex in their hair on the scalp , and on the Body , as well. If maybe somehow an overgrowth can occur ? I'd appreciate if you could give your answer, either it be a guess , if you might not know for sure the answer , from facts. Thank you

Yes you can get demodex infestatin in your hair and scalp! It's like scabies and like what dogs get with mange! If untreated, it can cause severe itching, scaling, thickened skin over skin, and infections. There is a lotion called Ivermectin Soolantra that kills these suckers on contact! There is also oral ivermectin pill! My doctor is about to give me Soolantra lotion for my demodex folliculorum infestation in my damaged skin barrier after steriod usage (don't use steriods btw). Currently I have switched my shampoo over to tea trea head and shoulders. Tea tree oil kills mites on contact. You can also put one-2 drop of tea tree in your face cleanser or 1-2 drops of the oil in your moisterizer. BUT. Some people respond in allergic reactions to tea trea oil on the face and it can be very damaging if it goes in the eyes. So, that's why Im taking precautions and getting the Soolantra lotion first before putting any oil on my face. But overall consider Soolantra lotion! Look it up. It's expensive, but if your derm can do a biopsy for you and see if you have mite infestations and make a case for your insurance, it could be covered. There's also the RX coupon app that can discount your meds depending on what pharmacy you go to. If my insurance doesn't cover soolantra, I'm gonna use this app.
